This is a video sale. Bulls can be viewed at the Thackeray Farm prior to the sale. The sale will be held at the Goodwater Hall, east of the Thackeray Farm at 1:00 p.m.
Bulls Information
All bulls will be scrotal measured prior to the sale and a sale weight will be provided.
Terms & Conditions
Terms of the sale are cash or cheque unless satisfactory arrangements have been made between the buyer an the seller prior to the sale. All bulls will sell under the standard Terms & Conditions of the Canadian Gelbvieh Association. Any announcements from the block will take precedence over the information printed in the catalog.
Delivery & Board
Following the sale, the bulls will remain at the Thackeray Farm until completion of breeding soundess evaluations. These should be completed sometime mid-March (weather permitting) and once cpmpleted, delivery of the bulls will begin. All bulls are free to stay at the Thackeray Farm until delivery.
As good stewards, we will do our best to ensure the bulls are kept in a safe and healthy environment prior to delivery, however, we do recommend insurring your new bull purchase. We do ask that you work with us to coordinate the delivery of your new bull.

Welcome From Thackeray Land & Cattle
Welcome to the 2023 edition of the Thackeray Land and Cattle bull and open female sale. Hard to believe that another year has passed, but here we are preparing to present this year’s bulls for your appraisal. We feel that we have a good ofering once again with several sire groups represented. Bulls that will add size and scale to your mature cows or bulls that will settle your heifers and add comfort that there will be minimum trouble at calving.
The cattle cycle has taken a turn higher and with cow numbers declining across North America the experts feel that we are in a good spot to see high cattle prices for the foreseeable future. I think this will help to at least give the cattle producers a chance to keep up with the rising cost of everything that we need to be in business.
We will be ofering a select group of open heifers again this year they have been backgrounded to allow for optimal growth and longevity.
We have switched to DLMS this year so please note if you plan to bid online set up your account with them.
