62Yearling Charolais Bulls on Offer Guarantee All bulls offered in the sale are guaranteed to pass a semen test and are guaranteed breeders. Viewing the Sale Offering The bulls are available for view at the ranch until the end of February. The bulls will be moved to Perlich Bros. Auction Market and available for viewing March 2nd – March 3rd, up until sale time. Wintering & Board We are willing to take the bulls home and continue to feed them until you need them delivered. We strongly suggest that bulls returning to Nish Charolais to be wintered are insured. An insurance agent will be on site sale day. All bulls returning to Nish Charolais do so at the BUYERS RISK. Delivery Delivery is free of charge up to 300 km from Lethbridge; above 300 km at a cost. Insurance Insurance will be available to purchase on sale day. The animals become your responsibility as soon as sold. We recommend insuring your purchases. Sight Unseen Purchase Program We know that as producers, you may be busy and unable to attend on sale day or tour the bull pen. We can assist you with finding the right bull(s) to meet the needs of your program. Please feel free to contact any of us, sale management or any of the sale staff, who would be happy to assist you with finding the right bull(s) for your program requirements. Semen Rights Nish Charolais retains in-herd semen interest on all bulls sold in the sale, at the seller’s expense and owner’s convenience, to be drawn at a future date. Welcome to the Nish Charolais 18th Annual Bull Sale. Once again, the offering of Charolais yearling bulls that the Nish family has assembled for the 18th edition of their bull sale is outstanding. We are excited and honoured to be working with the Nish family again to market their offering of bulls this year. This sale provides a great opportunity to get a new herdsire for your cow herd, from a Charolais herd 54+ years in the making. From a program that is tried, tested and true, we are confident that these bulls will go out and work for you. Each year, we watch the Nish program continue to push their program forward. They are sourcing elite herdsires from reputable breeders in the industry, and retaining maternal females that pack maternal and performance qualities. You will often see them feature some of their foundation females on their Facebook page on Tuesdays before their bull sale, where they will give you an up close and personal run down on the cows in their program. This pairing of elite herdsires + functional, maternal foundation females = consistent quality, performance bulls you will find in this sale offering.

The bulls have been developed responsibly in a real-world ranch setting. They are built to last and are raised so they can go out and work in the real world. Every effort has been made to provide their customers with a bull that is a solid investment, from their herd health protocols to their responsible feeding program, they have you covered. They want to provide their customers with peace of mind that Nish Charolais bulls are a sound investment and will meet the demands of their customers. Please join us on sale day, where the Nish family hospitality and the warm sale facilities make for an enjoyable night out with fellow cattlemen. The bulls can be viewed at the ranch prior to the sale up until the day before the sale, and at Perlich Bros. Auction Mart on the day leading up to the sale and on sale day. When we set out looking for a herd sire in 2020, we were immediately drawn to HTA Billy the Kid. His length of body, natural muscle combined with some extreme maternal strength lead us to believe that Billy the Kid was a home run for our program. The Billy the Kid sons offered in this sale reflect the hair, performance, good footed and natural muscling that we look for. To top it off, they’re quiet and calm demeanor is a bonus.

T e r m s and Conditions TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately after the sale. Settlement is in Canadian funds. The right of the property shall not pass until settlement is paid in full. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Current exchange rates will be announced on sale day. BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer, or special representatives. Bids must be received prior to the sale, in a sufficient time frame. DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. ANNOUNCEMENTS: All announcements made from the auction block on sale day will take precedence over the printed material. Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected from the auction stand at sale time and such correction will take precedence over printed material in the catalogue. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made. IN-HERD SEMEN: Nish Charolais reserves the right to collect semen on any bull sold through the sale. Semen collection will be at seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience. BREEDER GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove that the bull is a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In the case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. INSURANCE: Insurance will be available for purchase on sale day. DELIVERY: Assistance will be given with making delivery arrangements after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither Nish Charolais, the auctioneer, sale staff, Wright Livestock Marketing Services sale management or Perlich Bros. Auction Market Ltd. assumes no responsibility in the matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.
