Monday Arrive in Scotland and settle into your overnight hotel, ready to begin your Highland adventure.
Tuesday We travel north through glorious Highland scenery and shimmering lochs, pausing in the charming town of Pitlochry. Later, we continue to Inverness to board Lord of the Highlands. In the evening, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Dinner.
Wednesday Enjoy free time to explore Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, before we sail along the historic Caledonian Canal, built between 1803 and 1822 to link the four lochs of the Great Glen. En route, we visit the enchanting Cawdor Castle & Gardens. The day ends with our ascent through the impressive locks at Fort Augustus.
Thursday Our journey continues to the canal’s highest point at Loch Oich, followed by a serene passage through the picturesque, tree‑lined Laggan Avenue. We then descend Neptune’s Staircase—Scotland’s longest lock staircase— overlooked by the mighty Ben Nevis. At Glenfinnan, visit the iconic monument honouring the Jacobite clansmen and enjoy breathtaking views. We also tour the Ben Nevis Distillery.
Friday Sailing into the open waters of the Sound of Mull, we arrive at the colourful harbour town of Tobermory. Enjoy free time to explore its charming shops, waterfront and vibrant houses.
Saturday Travel by ferry to the peaceful island of Iona, before visiting Duart Castle—the ancestral home of Clan Maclean, dramatically perched above the Sound of Mull.
Sunday Our final port of call is Oban, where we explore mighty Dunstaffnage Castle, once the stronghold of the ‘Kings of the Isles’. Enjoy a seal-watching boat trip before rounding off the evening with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner.
Monday After breakfast, we disembark and travel home by coach, bringing your memorable Scottish cruise to a close.

In the afternoon, we experience the incredible Falkirk Wheel with a scenic boat ride. This world first rotating boat lift, completed in 1998, connects the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals, replacing 11 traditional locks. Rising an impressive 35 metres and constructed from 1,200 tonnes of steel, it’s a true marvel of modern engineering and one of Scotland’s top attractions.
B | New Lanark is a remarkable testament to 18th century vision and 21st century sustainability. Monday Our journey begins with a scenic drive past the Malvern Hills before we pause for a lunchtime stop in the historic cathedral city of Hereford. We continue through the rolling landscapes of the Shropshire Hills to reach our hotel, where a hot drink awaits.
Tuesday Today we visit the renowned county town of Shrewsbury, beautifully set within a sweeping loop of the River Severn and famous for its higgledy‑piggledy streets and half‑timbered buildings. We start with a relaxing river cruise, followed by lunch at the Orchard Café, located within a church, where a warming bowl of soup, a filled roll and a hot drink are included. The afternoon is free for you to explore Shrewsbury at your leisure—perhaps browsing independent shops, or simply soaking up the town’s historic atmosphere.
Wednesday Our first stop is Blists Hill Victorian Town, where costumed staff bring the past to life with fascinating demonstrations of everyday Victorian living. The site also features a state‑of‑the‑art visitor centre and a charming narrow‑gauge railway. Later, we travel to the Ironbridge Gorge, recently voted the UK’s most popular UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Thursday We enjoy a scenic drive through the wooded slopes of Wenlock Edge en route to Stokesay Castle, one of England’s finest and best‑preserved fortified manor houses. Set against the rolling Shropshire countryside, it offers both historical intrigue and wonderful views. We then continue to Ludlow, a thriving medieval market town and true architectural gem, where you will have time to explore its historic streets.
Friday Our final day begins with a visit to Bridgnorth, where there is free time to explore this attractive riverside town. We then travel on to Worcester, stopping to enjoy this ancient city steeped in history, before beginning our journey home

Wednesday We start with a nostalgic steam train ride through the picturesque Leven Valley on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, followed by a tranquil cruise across Lake Windermere from Lakeside to Bowness-onWindermere. Bowness is a year round favourite, renowned for its lakeside charm and vibrant atmosphere. Later, we visit Ambleside, a lively village surrounded by fells and woodlands, home to excellent shopping and the iconic Bridge House.
Thursday It’s full steam ahead to the Western Lakes for a journey on the historic Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, affectionately known as La’al Ratty. This scenic ride takes us from the coastal village of Ravenglass through two beautiful valleys to the foot of England’s highest mountains. On our return, enjoy some free time in Kendal, a town famed for its character and heritage.

Then a scenic drive via Broadstairs to Ramsgate for a guided tour of the Tunnels. They are the largest network of civilian wartime tunnels and we hear stories of life underground.
Thursday To Sissinghurst Castle, a romantic garden estate featuring enchanted themed rooms, a tower and peaceful gardens. Later we visit Chapel Down Vineyard, for a guided tour, talk and tasting with tutorial.
Friday We return home with a stop in Brighton.

A | Today we enjoy a scenic circular tour, calling at Falmouth and St Ives. Falmouth has long been shaped by its close connection to the sea, blending a rich maritime heritage with a vibrant and creative modern culture. We then continue to St Ives, the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown, renowned for its golden sandy beaches, charming harbour and narrow cobbled streets that invite exploration at a relaxed pace. Between destinations, we enjoy views across Mount’s Bay, dominated by the iconic St Michael’s Mount.
B | We follow the rugged north coast of Cornwall, enjoying a spectacular scenic drive before stopping in Padstow. Set on the banks of the Camel Estuary, Padstow is full of character, with narrow streets leading down to the lively working harbour. There is time to enjoy the town before we return to Newquay, where the afternoon is free to explore at your own leisure, or relax at the hotel.
C | To Boscastle, once the only accessible harbour along more than 40 miles of rugged coastline and a place rich in history and natural beauty. We then visit Tintagel, famous for its dramatic clifftop castle, steeped in the legendary tales of King Arthur. An impressive new footbridge now links the headland to the mainland. (Castle entry is not included and is not recommended for those with limited mobility, but we allow ample time for those who wish to visit.) Alternatively, you may prefer to remain in the village, where an excellent selection of shops and cafés can be enjoyed.
Friday On our return journey, we follow the scenic Atlantic Highway into Devon, making a comfortable lunchtime stop in the historic town of Barnstaple, home to the impressive Victorian Pannier Market, before continuing home.

The Isles of Scilly are an archipelago of five inhabited islands and numerous other small rocky islets 28 miles off Lands’ End. With a total population of just over two thousand, an exceptionally mild climate, and countless golden sandy beaches, Scilly is a beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. We get to the island via a 20 minute flight from Land’s End Airport and our hotel is in St Mary’s where you can chill out watching the tide change, the flowers open and the sunshine.

First Day To Cornwall and Land’s End Airport for our flight to St Mary’s at 14:05 and 16:00. It is a 20 minute flight, and we are met the other end and transferred to our hotel.

Saturday To London and choose between being dropped close to Kensington (for the museums) or Park Lane (closer to the shops). A | Our first stop today is Oakham, the county town of Rutland. Rutland is England’s smallest county, and Oakham’s stylish boutiques and exclusive little gift shops are a delight. Later, we head along the edge of Rutland Water to enjoy a relaxing cruise on the ‘Rutland Belle’—a perfect way to round off the day.
B | For our first outing today, we head to Melton Mowbray for market day. The town has a royal heritage dating back to Richard the Lionheart and is home to Stilton, Red Leicester Cheese, and of course the famous Melton Mowbray Pork Pie. Step inside Melton Carnegie Museum to see an original pie oven, grab a pie at Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe, or visit the Anne of Cleves pub. In the afternoon, we head to Belvoir Castle, chosen to represent Windsor Castle in Netflix’s hit series The Crown. Set on a high hill with panoramic views, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the castle followed by time to explore the beautiful landscaped gardens at leisure.

Sunday Enjoy spectacular scenery throughout the day as we journey through the Highlands, Cairngorms, and Speyside, before arriving in Inverness for a lunchtime stop. Known as the ‘Highland Capital,’ Inverness sits on the banks of the River Ness and offers a wealth of historic architecture and independent shops. Later, take in more stunning loch views as we continue to Ullapool to board our late afternoon ferry to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, where we’ll spend the next two nights at the Caladh Inn.
Monday Enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the Isle of Lewis with a knowledgeable local guide. Take in spectacular scenery as we visit a traditional Blackhouse—remarkably still inhabited until recent times—explore the ancient standing stones at Callanish, often called ‘Scotland’s Stonehenge,’ and discover the historic Carloway Broch, a remarkable Iron Age structure.
Tuesday A day of island hopping when we travel south through Lewis and Harris, with magnificent beaches and scenery throughout. We continue by ferry to the Isle of Benbecula and our base for the next 2 nights staying at the Dark Island Hotel in Liniclate.
Wednesday With a knowledgeable local guide on board, we set out to explore the islands of Benbecula and South Uist, steeped in history and natural beauty. Discover the rugged landscapes and pristine beaches that define these Hebridean gems, while hearing captivating stories of Bonnie Prince Charlie. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views, spot local wildlife, and immerse yourself in the rich Gaelic culture that still thrives here.


Thursday Today brings a long but truly rewarding journey. We begin with a ferry crossing from Lochmaddy to Uig, on the northern tip of the Isle of Skye. From there, enjoy a spectacular drive across Skye’s dramatic landscapes before crossing the iconic Skye Bridge back to the mainland. The scenery continues to impress as we pass through Glencoe and catch sight of majestic Ben Nevis, before arriving at our overnight stop at the 4 star Highland Hotel in Stirling.

This seaside resort comes with the classic English seaside holiday activities: the donkey rides on the beach, the pier, the crazy golf, but there’s more to this Lincolnshire town. ‘Skeggy’, as it’s affectionately known, has rollercoaster rides and a seal sanctuary plus a Blue Flag beach. We enjoy a day out in Lincoln, view the Wolds, a nationally important and cherished landscape, and get to see a Lancaster Bomber! The Quorn Hotel receives excellent feedback.
Monday We head east and call at Stamford, a bustling prosperous market town with quaint streets and delicious food options.

On this tour we take 3 train rides, 2 in the highlands and one near Edinburgh. But that’s not all, we also have a 90 minute loch cruise and view some of Scotland’s beautiful scenic spots and traditional towns. Our fabulous main hotel is in Kingussie, a lovely town beside the river Spey amid the beautiful Cairngorms. We travel to and from Kingussie on a circular route, so you get to see as much Scottish scenery as possible.
Saturday Into Scotland and on to our overnight hotel, the King Robert which is situated on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn on the outskirts of historic Stirling.
Sunday We have our first train ride which is on the Bo’Ness & Kinneil Steam Railway. From here we take the Queensferry Crossing of the Firth of Forth and continue north through the Cairngorm mountains with fabulous scenery. Our late lunchtime stop is in the Highland town of Pitlochry. Then to Kingussie and our hotel for 4 nights.
Monday A free day in our resort of Kingussie. If you wish to explore further afield there is a trainline that travels to either Inverness or Newtonmore.
Tuesday A dramatic day in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie, Harry Potter, and the Jacobite Rebellion! To Loch Sheil, Hogwart’s Lake in Harry Potter, for a 90 minute cruise with refreshment on board. As part of this cruise, we get to witness the famous scene in the film where the Hogwart’s Express crosses the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct. The Hogwart’s Express is in fact The Jacobite. Later we travel on that famous route, from Mallaig to Fort William, experiencing the great scenery on a diesel train.
Wednesday Along the Spey Valley to Aviemore, a year round destination with beautiful scenery. Here we catch the Strathspey Steam Railway to Broomhill, a ride that enables you to travel back in time to an era when steam whistles blew, carriage doors slammed and there was a familiar click clack rhythm on the rails. Later we travel further into the Highlands and visit Grantown on Spey.
Thursday A different route as we return south taking in Ben Nevis, Glen Coe and Loch Lomond. Our hotel for 2 nights is the 4 star Doubletree by Hilton Westerwood, set in 120 acres of gardens against the backdrop of the Campsie Fells.
Friday All day in Edinburgh to experience the city’s skyline, cobbled streets and colorful characters.

Showcasing Northern Scotland with all its beautiful beaches, historical ruins and pretty fishing villages, the North Coast 500 coastal road is a journey like no other. Scotland’s answer to Route 66 is now a designated tourist route around the Northern Highlands taking in amazing coastal scenery full of lochs and uninhabited islands. On our journey north we take an Eastern route and travel through the Cairngorms National Park. On our return, we stick to the west coast with 2 nights on the Isle of Skye.
Monday Into Scotland and on to our overnight hotel, the 3 star Buchanan Arms in Drymen.
Tuesday Beautiful scenery today as we climb into the Highlands and the Cairngorm National Park. Our lunch time stop in Aviemore, a Highland base with plenty of shops and food options. We make a short stop in the small but lively town of Tain, then we are on the North Coast 500 route and continue to the very North of Scotland with a short stop at John O Groats before continuing to our hotel for 2 nights, the Pentland Hote in Thurso.
Wednesday We catch the ferry to Orkney where we are met by our guide. We have a full tour of Orkney taking in amongst other things Skara Brae, an amazing neolithic village that lay buried by sand for 4000 years and the delightful Italian Chapel built by Italian POWs.
Thursday We continue on the North Coast 500 Route with miles and miles of costal scenery as we head along Scotland’s most northern coast and enjoy dramatic ocean views. We will take plenty of photo stops, especially where the impressive white sand beaches are at their most impressive. Our hotel for the night is The Caledonian Hotel in Ullapool.
Friday A final part of the North Coast 500 takes us by more dramatic scenery on our way to Attadale Gardens. The gardens were built in 1755 and its gardens include a Water Garden, Rhododendron Walk, sunken garden and a Japanese garden. From here we continue to the Isle of Skye and the Dunollie Hotel in Broadford for 2 nights.


Saturday A relaxing day today as we travel via the west coast of Skye to Dunvegan Castle and Gardens for a visit. This was the seat of the Clan Macleod and is the oldest continually occupied castle in Scotland. The castle has won visitor awards, and it is a Highland estate steeped in history and clan legend which also has beautiful formal gardens. We then complete a circular route as we visit Portree for a short stop Portree is the Island’s Capital and lies in a picturesque natural harbour that is sheltered with great views to sea.
Sunday We start our journey south with more scenery as we pass lochs and have views of Ben Nevis on the way to a short stop in Fort William. Then through Glencoe before making a stop at Loch Lomond Shores. Then onto our overnight hotel, the 4 star Dryfesdale Country House Hotel. The hotel sits amid 5 acres of magnificent grounds with stunning views of the Scottish countryside.
Monday We say goodbye to Scotland and return home.

Sunday Following a lunchtime stop in Abergavenny we enjoy a scenic journey via the Brecon Beacons to West Wales where we are met at our hotel with a Welcome Drink.
A | We begin our day with a visit to Haverfordwest, known for its rich history and a wide variety of shops, cafés, and local markets. Then, we follow the scenic coastal road famously dubbed the ‘Seventeen Hills in Sixteen Miles’, passing through the dramatic shoreline of Newgale, with its vast pebble beach and sweeping sea views. Our journey continues through the quaint village of Solva to St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, where time is allowed for lunch and a visit to the magnificent St Davids Cathedral.
B | Today we follow the scenic coastal road north, passing picturesque villages that cling to the hillsides above the sparkling blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Our destination is Aberystwyth, a vibrant town nestled between three hills and two beaches. Here you can choose to take the optional (not included) Vale of Rheidol Railway for a return journey to the spectacular Devil’s Bridge—or simply enjoy Aberystwyth itself, with its charming promenade, cliff railway, observatory, and excellent shopping.
C | Spend the day in Tenby, a charming and historic seaside resort with narrow streets, a picturesque harbour, and golden beaches. Enjoy free time to explore, shop, or simply relax by the sea.
