TERMS & CONDITIONS
SALE AND CONDITIONS
Transportation and pickup of purchased cattle will be coordinated directly between the buyer and the individual consignor. Consignors will contact buyers following the close of the Unlocking Opportunities Sale to arrange the most convenient delivery or pickup option. Buyers are asked to make transportation arrangements within 24 hours of the sale’s conclusion.
Unless otherwise noted, all calves have been halter started, washed, clipped, and are accustomed to being tied. Buyers with questions regarding the disposition or handling of a specific animal are encouraged to contact the consignor directly.
All live animals will be accompanied by current health papers and appropriate vaccinations. Certain lots may still be pending registration at the time of the sale. Registration certificates will be transferred into the buyer’s name once all required DNA testing and registry requirements have been completed.
GENETIC LOT GUARANTEE
Guarantees on embryo and other genetic lots are provided by the individual consignor. Buyers are encouraged to contact the consignor with any questions regarding storage location, transfer logistics, or the specific guarantee associated with that lot.
Embryos sold by Janssen Beefmasters include a guarantee of one (1) live calf. Should a replacement be necessary, it will be supported through an additional flush opportunity on the donor female, subject to the consignor’s breeding schedule and availability.
If embryo splitting is performed, any replacement embryos will be provided only after the original purchased quantity has been fulfilled. The purchaser is responsible for obtaining and paying for any required sire certificates necessary to complete the embryo transfer registration process at the time a resulting calf is born. Embryo bills of sale and any associated transfer documentation will be issued only after the birth of a live calf.
FLUSH/IVF INFO
Any flush, IVF, or genetic retention rights reserved by the consignor will be clearly identified within the individual lot description. Buyers should review each lot carefully for any retained breeding interests before bidding.
LIVE LOT GUARANTEE
Each consignor participating in the Unlocking Opportunities Sale stands behind the reproductive soundness of the live animals they sell. Buyers should contact the individual consignor regarding the specific terms of any guarantee associated with a particular lot. Any guarantee may be considered void if the animal is subjected to negligence, improper management, unethical fitting practices, virgin IVF procedures, or any other activity that could reasonably compromise its reproductive ability.
