CONGRESS SELECT MINI HEREFORD SALE
Welcome
We here at Crossroads Cattle Solutions know the task at hand when it comes to putting on this sale. Our primary objective for this sale is to establish it as the premier annual Miniature Hereford consignment sale in the country, with ranches represented from all over. We want to build the reputation of this being the place you go when you want to step up and truly invest in your program. For us it’s all about the word opportunity, your opportunity to build on your program, our opportunity to prove ourselves and the opportunity for the Miniature Hereford breed to ring the bell and show off in front of your fellow cattlemen! I leave you with a quote from Teddy Roosevelt: “It is far better to dare mighty triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to dwell with those poor and timid souls knowing neither victory nor defeat.”

Bad Company is the mini bull with a major future in this breed. This hits me as hard as any animal I’ve ever judged; he brings so much to the table from a design standpoint. The elevation his lines provide, along with the stretched look and tons of power, makes it hard to find another like him, no matter the breed. To me, it’s very simple: it’s bad business if you aren’t using Bad Company! - Semen lot will consist of five units. Semen stored at Bullnanza in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Or contact Harris Show Cattle, and they can have it at Congress.

If you’re shopping for a female that could change your herd, Lulu ought to be on your shortlist. Sired by Muffin, whose offspring have a track record of class wins, division banners, and show-ring presence, Lulu fits the mold perfectly. She’s bold, beautifully constructed, and has that trademark Muffin balance: feminine where she ought to be, powerful where it counts. Lulu’s got a little extra spice. She knows she’s good, and she acts like it. Because of that, she sells best as: a donor female, or a project for a confident, junior-age showman (she’s a little too extra for the very young kids). Her quality is undeniable, and her genetic value is just getting started. -Seller retains 2 flushes at buyer’s convenience.

You might not know this donor, CBD MISS KANSAS, but EVERYONE knows her 2024 heifer calf shown by Saphira Uptergrove of Oklahoma. Even if you lived under a rock you still know the name CBD MITCH THIS AINT KANSAS, AKA “Dorothy”. She went Grand at her first show MHJNA Junior Nationals in Kansas (we couldn’t have planned a better name) then swept the OKC State Fair in both the Junior and Open, went Grand in Louisville in the Junior show, Reserved the Open show at Congress in 2025 and won OYE. She’s the kind that industry professionals remember and still ask about to this day. This donor is now one of our top females and I’m sure you can see why! Semen hasn’t been made available on “Dorothy’s” sire, CBD Holy Toledo, but arrangements to use this bull in the flush can be made ahead of this sale if desired. Call Holly to discuss further. If you wanted to gain access to a powerful cow family this is your chance. This cow line has produced more champions than we have space to list. These flush rights have never been offered before and might not come up again. When opportunity knocks you should answer! Flush terms are either conventional or OPU to be determined with buyer, seller and Paragon Cattle Services considering the timing of the Dam’s cycle and the availability of the seller’s schedule. Paragon has the ability, as a TransOva site, to reverse sort semen if so desired. Any additional flush related fees are the responsibility of the buyer, including semen/sorting/shipping. Seller guarantees a minimum of 6 embryos and will split embryos (even/odd) with the buyer after 14. Flush must be completed by March of 2027. Kansas (donor) is free from all known genetic defects, parent verified and AI permitted through the AHA.

MCC Ben Dover Stud Muffin, standing at 42” at full maturity, is a bull that’s impossible to overlook—both for his name and the quality he brings to the table. His impressive resume includes Grand Champion Bull at the American Royal and Reserve Champion Bull at Cattlemen’s Congress, backed by a pedigree featuring influential grand-sires Ben Dover and SummerTime Mick. Muffin’s structural correctness, depth of body, and natural width are the hallmarks he reliably stamps onto his calves, setting him apart as a sire with both substance and consistency. Muffin’s offspring have continued that legacy, earning major distinctions such as Grand Champion Market Steer at the Oklahoma State Fair, Grand Champion Bred & Owned Heifer at MHJNA, Reserve Champion Bred & Owned Heifer at the Oklahoma State Fair, Reserve Champion Market Steer, and Reserve Champion Heifer at OYE. Whether your aim is producing competitive show prospects or elevating herd quality, Muffin consistently delivers structure, rib, balance, and that unmistakable show-ring presence his calves are becoming known for.

If you’re looking for a steer with proven, predictable power behind him, Wilbur deserves a serious look. His sire Muffin continues to stamp out the kind that find their way to the backdrop—most notably Tank, who dominated classes and divisions all year before claiming Reserve Champion Market Steer at MHJNA Junior Nationals. Wilbur carries that same trademark look—extra mass, skeletal width, and the kind of presence you notice even when you aren’t trying to notice him. He’s bold-ended, square-built, and has that cool, show-ring silhouette Muffin sons are known for. With the right feed and a little attitude, he’ll be one that can run with the big boys. Whether you’re chasing banners or just want one that makes your competition rethink their life choices, Wilbur is the load you want to haul home.
