We’re excited to welcome you to this inaugural event, which is more than just a cattle sale—it’s a celebration of the cattle community in Tennessee and beyond. Join us for a weekend filled with fellowship, quality livestock, and valuable industry insights.
The event kicks off Friday evening with a complimentary meal, generously provided by the Tennessee Simmental Association. During the evening, we’ll hear from two distinguished guest speakers:
• U.S. Representative John Rose, who serves the Middle Tennessee district and current gubernatorial candidate, will share updates from Washington D.C., including developments on the U.S. Farm Bill. As a former Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, John will also offer his perspective on the future of agriculture in our state.
• Dr. Jon DeClerck, newly appointed Executive Vice President of the American Simmental Association, will discuss his vision for the ASA and provide an update on his new role.
Saturday’s activities include the cattle sale, followed by the Junior Show at 6:00 p.m.—a great opportunity to support our young cattle enthusiasts and see future industry leaders in action.
From elite bred cows to show heifer prospects, this event brings together top-quality cattle from breeders across Tennessee. Whether you’re a seasoned producer or a first-time buyer, there’s something here for everyone.

CATTLE TIME IN TENNESSEE JUNIOR HEIFER SHOW

RULES AND INFORMATION
1. Show will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Hyder-Burks Ag Pavilion.
2. Open to the world, juniors must be 21 years old or younger. No minimum age, but exhibitor must be able to handle the heifer on their own in the ring.
3. Only registered Angus and registered Simmental or Simmental crosses are eligible to show. There will be Angus and Simmental divisions and possibly a Percentage Simmental division if there are enough entries. Prize money will be awarded.
4. There will be a $10/ head entry fee and the barn will be bedded. Stall area will be assigned and entries must be preentered by September 6, 2025. Heifers born September 1, 2023 to April 30, 2025 are eligible. Classes will be put together after entries are received. All eligible heifers in the Cattle Time Sale will be pre-entered and can be shown by new owner.
5. Heifers must be on the grounds and checked in by 10 pm Friday, September 12, 2025.
6. Health and registration papers will be checked. Heifers will be entered in the name on the registration paper. Send birthdate and registration number by email to: gdcligon@gmail.com by September 6, 2025.

I Scott Roberts is offering in the sale a XC 43/28 semen tank which is full of semen. The tank is in good shape, holding LN2 well and has 5
canisters that would hold over 600 units of semen.
I There is over 250 units of semen in the tank, and we will sell the tank and semen all together. There is mainly Simmental semen, but also Angus, Maine, Polled Hereford and ChiAngus semen. Much of the semen is from older bulls, some that is both rare and very valuable on today’s market. There are even some ampules in the tank. We will have an inventory available Friday night before the sale.
I Scott is graciously donating half of the proceeds to the Tennessee Junior Simmental Association. Come take a look and bid on the tank and the semen. I guarantee that there will be some rare and expensive semen in the tank.
