Introduction
Dear courageous girl, hopefully you’re all snuggled in, comfy and cozy, and ready for a good night’s sleep. But don’t head off to dreamland just yet! Before you drift off to sleep, let these bedtime blessings and prayers fill you with big faith in your heavenly Daddy, who made you, knows you, and loves you more than you could ever imagine! He’ll give you the sweetest, absolute best peace and rest.
BLESSING #1: You Are Loved
You are loved, courageous girl! So very loved by the one true God who is your heavenly Daddy. He created you and knows all about you. If you had a good day or a bad day, He knows! If you’re hugging your favorite stuffed animal friend right now, He knows! Everything you think and say and do, He knows. He even knows things about you that you don’t know yourself—like the number of hairs on your head! And He loves you so much that He gave up His Son, Jesus Christ, so that He could give you the gift of life that lasts forever.
Dear heavenly Daddy, thank You for showing me Your great big love through Jesus. I believe in You, and I trust in Jesus as my Savior. Amen.

BLESSING #2: You Are Forgiven
Everyone has to say “I’m sorry” sometimes, because everyone does something bad sometimes—like telling a lie or being mean or stealing candy. Those things are called “sins.” Saying you’re sorry means you know you were wrong and you want to make it right. You want the person you hurt with your sin to say it’s okay now and you are forgiven. It feels wonderful when someone forgives you. But it feels terrible if someone does not forgive you. So it sure is awesome that God always forgives anyone who is sorry for sin. Because Jesus paid the price for sin when He died on the cross and rose to life again, you are forgiven, courageous girl—and that should give you sweet, peaceful dreams tonight.
Dear heavenly Daddy,
I’m sorry for my sins. Thank You that, because of Jesus, I am forgiven. Amen.

BLESSING #3:
You Are One of a Kind
Who are your best friends and the people you love the most? What makes them your favorites? Probably one reason you feel close to them is that you have so many things in common. But no matter how much you are alike, you’re different too. No one else is exactly the same as you. God designed every person different on purpose, each with special gifts and plans. You are unique. God put careful thought into your creation. Courageous girl, you are one of a kind and wonderful!
Dear heavenly Daddy, thank You for making me who I am. Please bless me and all my friends and loved ones who are one of a kind and wonderful too! Amen.

BLESSING #4: You Are Gifted
Imagine if someone gave you an amazing birthday gift but said, “Don’t play with it. Don’t touch it. Don’t use it!” Would that be any fun? Thankfully, God never does that. He gives good gifts and says, “Use them!” Think about your gifts—the things you are good at, the hobbies you love, the blessings you have, the great qualities about you that make you so wonderful . You are gifted, courageous girl. Now think about the best ways to share those gifts to bless others and worship God.
Dear heavenly Daddy, please help me always to see the good gifts You have given me. Thank You so much for them! Help me to use them the way You want me to. Amen.
We are all different but we depend on each other. We all have different gifts that God has given to us by His loving-favor. We are to use them.

BLESSING #5: You Have a Purpose
Some things happen by accident—like getting a bazillion more bubbles than you expected when you poured too much into your bedtime bath. But you are no accident, courageous girl! God created you on purpose. He made you to know and love Jesus as your Savior and to do what He has planned for you. Don’t ever stop learning about Jesus and asking God to show you every cool thing He was thinking of when He designed you so wonderfully well!
Dear heavenly Daddy,
I feel amazed when I think about how You made me on purpose with awesome tasks for me to carry out. Every day, please keep showing me what Your perfect plans are. Amen.
We are His work. He has made us to belong to Christ Jesus so we can work for Him. He planned that we should do this.

BLESSING #6: You
Are Strong
Did you know that muscles don’t matter when it comes to being truly strong, courageous girl? Yes, big muscles can help people do powerful and amazing things. But real strength comes from trusting in Jesus and growing in Him—and letting Him make you strong from the inside out for anything you need to do. Jesus is the greatest superhero, and being strong in Him is super-powerfully cool!
Dear heavenly Daddy, please keep me growing superstrong in Jesus every day of my life. Amen.
As you have put your trust in Christ Jesus the Lord to save you from the punishment of sin, now let Him lead you in every step. Have your roots planted deep in Christ. Grow in Him. Get your strength from Him. Let Him make you strong in the faith as you have been taught.

BLESSING #7: You
Are Chosen
You really are a royal princess, courageous girl! God, our King, loves you so much and has chosen you to be His child. He wants to give you a perfect life forever in His kingdom of heaven someday. But right now, He has wonderful plans for you here on earth—plans for you to share His love with others and show them that God has chosen them too. Think about Jesus every day of your life, and let Him lead you in His good ways!
Dear heavenly Daddy, thank You for loving and choosing me! I love You too, and I want to know You better each day and follow Jesus’ perfect ways. Amen.
You have been chosen and set apart by God. So let us think about Jesus. He is the One God sent and He is the Religious Leader of our Christian faith.
