Sometimes it feels like we are too busy to stop and listen for God’s voice. We look at our endless to-do list, put our nose to the grindstone, and power through it. We get distracted by the fi ght we had with our husband, the whining kids in the back seat, or the boss who thinks we are superwoman and piles on the work. We ruminate over the o ending words, get stuck replaying the injustice, or strategize our revenge instead of asking the Lord to speak in our situation.
For you to trust that God will intervene, you must hear His promises. You must listen to reminders that He loves you and is always for you. You must recite the verses He has laid on your heart. Friend, you need a booster shot of His faithfulness before you feel comfortable prying your hands o the wheel so He can slide into the driver’s seat. In the middle of your mess, are you listening for God?
Father, I confess that I sometimes get too busy to include You in my everyday struggles. Forgive me for trying to do life alone. From today on, I promise to be intentional to listen for Your voice and remember Your Word as faith-building opportunities. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
GOALS for this MONTH
The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. Romans 10:17 msg
Put no limits on God’s power, His mercy, His forgiveness, and His blessings. Take to heart the fact, the truth that He will find a solution to all seemingly impossible situations. That He can and will heal the heart that’s crushed, the spirit that’s broken, the soul that’s withered.

Ask God for What You Need
Sometimes we need an extra measure of bravery to make it through. Life has a crazy way of throwing curveballs when we least expect them, doesn’t it? And they can leave us scared because we were knocked o balance and everything feels out of control. At the end of the day, it really does matter knowing we’re not standing alone. It helps knowing we have a God who will meet us in our fear.
It’s in these moments that God’s presence means so much. He’s the one we ask for what we need to navigate the choppy waters ahead. When a hard conversation with someone you love is on the horizon, ask for the courage to be honest. When you’re facing change, ask for fearless faith as you trust Him. When you’re hurting and want to quit, ask God for the confidence to continue.
Father, sometimes it’s hard to admit I need Your help because I feel equipped in my own strength. I feel like You made me able to handle anything that comes my way. But I’m learning how much I need Your help, especially in those times when I feel overwhelmed and afraid. What a relief to know I don’t have to have all the answers. Thank You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
