TAB is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to fight HIV/AIDS by heightening awareness, as well as generating financial support for educational programs and client care. By initiating outreach programs, workshops and events on a regional and global level, TAB is committed to combating this worldwide pandemic that affects individuals, families, communities and countries. Since 1994, the Telluride AIDS Benefit has donated nearly $2 million to HIV/AIDS education, advocacy, clinical care and NGOs in Colorado and Africa: the Ethiopian Family Fund, Western 30

The Friday, Feb. 28 TAB Silent Auction (doors open at 5 p.m.) combines the best of local and international art, as well as pieces from the patients at Denver’s Children’s Hospital Immunodeficiency Program (CHIP). Saturday, March 1, the sold-out TAB Gala Fashion Show takes place at the Telluride Conference Center at 8 p.m. Note to high-rollers: “If you want to pay $10,000 for a ticket, I can definitely get you in,” says TAB Executive Director Stash Wislocki (aidsbenefit. org). After the show, the party moves down to the Opera House for the TAB Fashion Show After-Party (doors open at 10:30 p.m.; admission $20).
