Set in the year 2075, we designed an adaptable and resilient urban architecture that integrates technology and responds to environmental changes. Our approach focuses on combining building design with environmental factors to create a more integrated and flexible urban landscape, reflecting the need for cities to evolve with agility. We developed a form in respons to Access, Noise, Wind and Sun.

In response to the existing connectivity challenges affecting the economic landscape of the Nehru Place area, we propose a strategic initiative aimed at establishing a robust tourist hub that seamlessly connects the aforementioned landmarks. Recognizing the potential and impact of the current disjointed nature of these attractions on the overall economic vitality of the region.

PROJECT VISION

Our vision is to boost the economy by integrating tourist landmarks and creating a tourist hub. Keeping this in mind, it became crucial for us to ensure maintaining the balance of uplifting the local economy alonside the development of the currently underuilised area as a tourist hub. We were also considerate about incorporating the professional activity from surrounding areas.

Nestled right between the Nehru Place market, Astha Kunj Park and Lotus Temple, the site has been somewhat neglected, being relegated to a car dump yard alongside shutdown offices.

We developed a data driven Institutional building with it’s zoning at two sites, one in Northern and another in Southern hemisphere. Responding to the climate, density, and walkability, we generated a number of genotypes and selected the fittest one according to the criteria. As a part of our experiments, our prototype emphasized on testing to get the best result as per the criteria.

DATA DRIVEN DESIGN

To iterate the generations in this sequence, the idea of multi- objective optimization is adopted where the tness criteria were revised to establish a relation with the external changes in the environmental pressure. since the research focuses on testing the evolution of urban blocks and forms within a specic climatic context.

FITNESS CRITERIA

The objective is to maximize ground exposure, and create internal open spaces between the dense packing of the cells. It is controlled by direct sunlight hours on ground.

METHEDOLOGY

Define plot dimensions, randomize building heights, generate plot shape, create streets and courtyards, establish entrances, analyze busiest areas, extrude for building blocks.

FITNESS CRITERIA

As a part of our experiments, our prototype basically emphasized on testing the evolution and to get the most fitest ones for the people with multiple fitness criteria.

PROGRAM CLASSIFICATION

DATA DRIVEN PROGRAM

Our prototype was about the height of a standard residential house and was mostly housing; the body plan is divided into cells based on their areas and function.

SPATIAL ORDERING

Our generations show us how to put the people and how many people will be using that specific space after observing our prototypes. We can use these renders to find the best ones for us. Detailing will be done after the prototype, so the prototype will be extremely useful in achieving our objectives.

A floating house on the sea designed for four friends with diverse backgrounds who have retired and live together. I’ve provided distinct spaces tailored to their professions and skills, such as a study area, workshop area, and recreational area. Additionally, there are gardens and an open dining area, a living room with a kitchen, and a pooja room attached on the ground floor with large openings. Underwater bedroom with 360° ocean views.

With all factors present, the main aims lay in making the chosen site more social, working, or in simpler terms- making the site active. The provided interventions aim to cater to all of the above while keeping one very important idea alive; further, impact. The idea was not to create something that gives a short-term solution, or an idea, which would have to change within a certain period due to it outliving its time.

The brief of this project was to design a cutural centre situated in Gurugram, Haryana which should feature several public and semi-public community spaces. We were also instructed to take out voids in between the spaces to let in more light and also introduce double heighted areas as well. Pre-Engineered Warehouse

The brief for this project was to design a warehouse with a large span to fit in heavy duty machinery and equipment. For this we were instructed to use a system of portal frames due to their large span, light weight and quick construction, It was also mandated to give the warehouse an office block and a mezzanine floor. In this project, we created a 3D model of the given design for Danip Technologies. For the Mathura Railway Station goods shed, we rendered the models for the shed, existing and new platforms, railway lines, road networks,a proposed building, and landscaping including contours and slopes. We rendered the model using Lumion and also created a walkthrough of the project. Additionally, we worked on the presentation and graphics.

SITE PLAN

We made the graphic for the site plan on Photoshop, keeping in mind the various design elements. This includes amenities for laborers and drivers like air-conditioned restrooms (35 sqm), semi-covered spaces, toilets (30 sqm) with bathing areas, and drinking water facilities, ensuring comfort and well-being on-site.

GRAPHICS & RENDERS

The project entails a covered goods shed, a TMS/CGS office, a modern merchant room, a labor room, and high masts for illumination. Additionally, it includes plantation for green areas and shade, as well as parking facilities to ensure functionality and convenience.

Working as a PhD Research Assistant for one of our faculty members, I was responsible for several aspects of the project which focused on a comparitive study about two gated communities in Gurugram, Haryana. I also drafted and rendered several plans and sections and did an area study about demography and density of the area.
