Who Should Study the Programme?

CertBMT is a new standalone professional qualification for bankers and other financial services professionals who wish to improve their practical understanding of bank management and technology.

CertBMT is aimed at individuals that aspire to middle to senior management roles and/or those who wish to demonstrate their professional knowledge and skills, and gain a recognised professional qualification. At the same time, CertBMT is a qualification that offers an accelerated pathway into the innovative dual-award Chartered Banker MBA.

CertBMT Modules and Length of Study You will study 4 modules:

• Professional Ethics and Regulation • Credit and Lending • Financial Institutions Risk Management • Financial Technology Teaching is on a semester basis that spans two semesters each year in April and October.

CertBMT can be completed in a minimum of 1 year of study. Students have the flexibility to study over a 3 year period.

A growing number of global organisations have joined the Corporate Scheme offered through Bangor University.

This allows access to tailored internal training solutions through Chartered Banker qualifications to meet an organisation’s specific needs and objectives for their staff. The CertBMT can be used in exactly the same way as the full MBA to complement an organisation’s in-house training and staff development programmes. This could involve, for example, the use by an organisation of select modules from CertBMT as the ‘start up’ to a corporate relationship.

Benefits to the Organisation • Select modules from CertBMT can be used by an organisation as the entry point to a corporate training relationship.

• Lower cost per individual, who can then go on to complete the CertBMT as an integral or complementary part of an organisation’s internal training programme.

• CertBMT is an accelerated entry point to the Chartered Banker MBA for the future development of key staff within the organisation.

CertBMT Fees The programme fee is £11,000. Any individual who is funded through their employer will receive a 50% reduction in price.
