Welcome to the February edition of Briston & District News and, as it is our first magazine of the new year, I feel justified in wishing you much joy, happiness and peace throughout 2023. I have an exciting year of family weddings, parties and, of course, there is the Coronation of King Charles III in May. I hope that your year will be as enjoyable as mine.

In various venues in our communities we are providing warm spaces for anyone who would like a morning or afternoon away from home in the company of other people. I was very saddened to hear that someone had said that these warm spaces are only for poor people. Please be assured that these warm spaces are for anyone who would like to spend some time away from home in the company of other people. Not only do we gather to have a good natter but, in some, people have started doing crafts, jigsaws and games. So don’t sit at home during this difficult time of the year but come along and join one of the groups. We would love to welcome you.
May God go with you always.
Jenny
