Welcome Thank you so much for joining us this evening. It’s good to be back! We hope you have a wonderful time. It’s been a challenging two years for all of us – but particularly for families with disabled children. Isolated at the best of times they faced an extended lockdown through having to shield their children. During Covid we devised socially distanced solutions and parents tell us that what we’re doing is important and it’s working. Your contributions tonight will raise vital funds so that we can continue our often life-enhancing work with children and young people and their families. Many of those we work with are unable to speak for themselves. They can’t express themselves in ways that most of us understand. But they do have things to say. What we want to do at Bamboozle is to unlock the doors to a world where they can find their own voice – a voice which is listened to with care and attention. Too often in our society, these children and their families are not heard; they are left out and made to feel that they don’t belong. We need to put that right. That is why we are all here this evening. With your help, we can give a voice to more children, and enable them to know that they, too, belong here. Thank you so much for your support.

Paul Wright Art We are delighted to be featuring three stunning hand finished prints by Leicestershire artist Paul Wright. Paul is a long-standing supporter of Bamboozle and has donated pieces of his work to our charity auctions for many years. Paul is a hugely successful artist with a unique style which has earned him a place at the BP National Portrait Award on no less than two occasions. Paul received further awards from The National Gallery for the annual BP Award and he made the shortlist for grand prize in 2014. This year Paul has donated three graceful and dynamic dancers; Poise, Balance and Ribbons Each hand finished giclee print on canvas is an artist’s proof limited edition of a series of 50.

The Bamboozle Family sessions are unique in the experience that they provide. I can honestly say that it is the first opportunity my daughter has had for self-expression and sensory stimulation within such a safe and completely accepting environment. The commitment and care of the staff is evident, and this coupled with their expertise at tuning into each child’s needs provides them with a nurturing environment where they are encouraged to express themselves in any way that feel comfortable. In doing so, children are exposed to new experiences and sensations that enable them to learn and grow. As you know I was moved to tears at the end of the session – I cannot thank you enough.
