Many of those young people are unable to speak for themselves. They can’t express themselves in ways that most of us take for granted. But they do have things to say. What we do at Bamboozle is to unlock the doors to a world where they can find their own voice – a voice which is listened to with care and attention.

Too often in our society, these children and their families are not heard, they are left out and made to feel that they don’t belong. We need to put that right. That is why we are all here this evening.

Your contributions tonight will raise vital funds for us to continue our often life-enhancing work with children and young people. We have core funding from the Arts Council, which means that every pound we raise this evening will go directly towards providing more activities for learning disabled children.

With your help, we can give a voice to more children, and enable them to know that they, too, belong here.

P a u l Wr i g h t A r t We are delighted to be featuring four stunning pieces by Leicestershire artist Paul Wright. Paul is a long-standing supporter of Bamboozle and has donated pieces of his work to our charity auctions for many years.

Paul is a hugely successful artist with a unique style, which has earned him a place at the BP National Portrait Award on two occasions. Paul received further awards from The National Gallery for the annual BP Award and he made the shortlist for grand prize in 2014.

This year Paul has donated four stunning pieces:

Land Rover Driving Experience A one hour experience with the instructor in the passenger seat - it’s you who will be driving. Take on steep hills and negotiate a variety of challenging conditions including muddy, waterfilled ditches.

Lamport Hall Annual Pass Entry into this beautiful Northamptonshire stately home with a characterful history set in approximately 10 acres of tranquil gardens, the result of over 450 years of love and dedication.

Pottery Experience Have a go at throwing some pottery, including a turning session and a glazing session. Or you can choose a day’s sculpture workshop with the incredible material Pal Tiya. Sculptures last outdoors in all weathers.

Clay Pigeon Shooting for Two Clay pigeon shooting experience at Kibworth Shooting Ground. The session is one hour long and includes a 25 clay target shooting experience, stance, gun mounting, as well as the all-important safe handling of the gun.

Attenborough Arts: Jesmonite Casting All the tools you need along with a step-by-step tutorial video from professional artist Yambe Tam. They’ll help you master the basic techniques so you can get the most from this at-home making experience.

Next year Bamboozle will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary. As part of our celebrations, we will spend time remembering all of the children and families we have worked with and thinking about what the next 30 years will bring.

In preparation for this, we are on the hunt for 30 ideas, big or small, to help raise funds for our work and provide further opportunities for disabled children.
