Trusted by the Ravens for 19 years... trusted by Baltimore for generations. Trusted medical team of the Baltimore Ravens. And you.

CB BRANDON

STEPHENS

quoth the raven “The Ravens have been the most complete team in the AFC all season. They have a top-tier offense, an extremely stingy defense and an MVP-caliber quarterback in Lamar Jackson, a player who’s become more dangerous in an offense designed to feature his passing skills. This is also a team that is built for football in December. Baltimore runs the ball effectively, harasses quarterbacks routinely and has an elite special teams unit. This is a team that can dominate when it’s on point.” – NFL.com’s Jeff Chadiha on the Ravens

Winning six of their past seven games, the Baltimore Ravens (9-3) return home today following their bye week to face the Los Angeles Rams (6-6). At 9-3, the Ravens and Dolphins each own the AFC’s top records, although Miami stands as the No. 1 seed due to a better winning percentage in conference play. Baltimore sits atop the AFC North standings with a two-game lead over the 7-5 Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. The Ravens have one divisional battle remaining, when they host Pittsburgh in Week 18 (date/ time TBD). Baltimore leads the all-time series vs. the Rams, 5-3, winning four of the past five matchups. These teams last met during the 2021 season, when Los Angeles emerged victorious, 20-19, in a Week 17 game at M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore is 3-1 vs. the Rams under head coach John Harbaugh. With five games to play, Baltimore has already clinched its 12th winning season during Coach Harbaugh’s 16 years at the helm. The Ravens’ 9-3 record this season marks their best start since 2019, when the team finished 14-2. In Week 12’s 20-10 victory at the L.A. Chargers, Baltimore’s defense allowed just 279 yards, registered 3 sacks and recorded 4 takeaways (3 FRs & 1 INT).

NUMBERS TO NOTE 12-3 – Under John Harbaugh

(since 2008), the Ravens are 12-3 in games immediately following a bye week, marking the NFL’s second-best such winning percentage (.800).

19-8 – The Ravens are 19-8

all time (since 1996) in games following a bye week, including 14-6 at home.

25.7 – In contests right after

the bye since 2008 (Coach Harbaugh Era), the Ravens have scored 25.7 points per game (fifth in the NFL), while allowing 16.4 ppg (first).

15.6 – The Ravens have

allowed the fewest points (15.6 ppg) and also the fewest overall touchdowns (16) in the NFL this season.

The Ravens’ offense rushed for 197 yards, including 64 from rookie RB Keaton Mitchell, 39 from QB Lamar Jackson and a decisive 37-yard TD jolt from rookie WR Zay Flowers to seal the game. Jackson, who also threw 1 TD to Flowers, became the fastest QB in NFL history to reach the 5,000-yard career rushing milestone (82 games). 2023 baltimore ravens gameday | 5

ON UPCOMING CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES: “I’m excited just like all the players are – I hope the fans are – with the opportunity that we have and that our guys have created for themselves. You do that by just taking it one day at a time and trying to be the best football team you can be and try to play the best you can. So, I feel like our guys have done a good job of that, but [we’re] always looking forward. Challenges are in front of us, and we need to be ready for them.”

OBJ LEAVING HIS MARK & SOLIDIFYING HIS

LEGACY BY RACHEL RICHARDS

10 | 2023 baltimore ravens gameday

FROM A MARVELOUS ONE-HANDED CATCH in the Big Apple to a career-altering injury on the biggest stage, Odell Beckham Jr.’s NFL journey has been one for the history books and nothing short of extraordinary. Last April, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta put pen to paper with the former first-round pick, beginning a new chapter in Beckham’s story. He embraced Baltimore’s culture from Day One, dying his hair different shades of purple and celebrating his first Ravens touchdown with the Park Heights Strut. “It’s good to be where you’re wanted,” Beckham explained. “The Ravens showed me that they wanted me to be here and that I was going to be a very big piece to this organization.” The nine-year veteran surely has made an impact on the field with his exciting grabs and elusive footwork. But it’s been Beckham’s deep understanding of the game that has made him an even more valuable asset, particularly to the team’s young wideouts. “He’s been through a lot and seen a lot,” wide receivers coach Greg Lewis explained. “He’s a great player, and his skills show it. He’s able to teach some guys some different things.”

Just 14 days after Beckham officially signed with Baltimore, the Ravens made another flashy roster move, one that got the streets of Baltimore buzzing with anticipation. Enter, Zay Flowers. The South Florida native’s raw talent and lightning speed are undeniable, but the opportunity to learn from Beckham – who in 2014 had one of the most impressive rookie seasons ever by a receiver – would be paramount to his development in Year One. Beckham graciously took Flowers under his wing. The duo trained together in Florida shortly after the NFL Draft, with Beckham teaching him tactics that cornerbacks use in coverage and how to exploit them. As the season has progressed, Flowers has observed his mentor’s overall approach to the game – from both a physical and mental standpoint – trying to emulate that into his own.

so it’s crazy that we’re on the same team right now,” Bateman added. “He’s a great teammate,” Flowers expressed. “He comes in here with energy every day, makes people smile and then goes out on the football field and turns it on.”

They both share a strong passion for the sport and an unwavering dedication to their craft. Putting 100% of their focus and effort toward improving their game is the top priority, but like two brothers, they also enjoy having some fun.

Coming off a well-deserved bye week, OBJ and the other receivers are ready to finish the season strong. As January football inches closer, the former Super Bowl Champion reminds his teammates that reaching their ultimate goal can only be achieved by learning from previous hardships, building on moments of success and enjoying the ride.

“At our lockers, he likes to joke around with me,” Flowers explained. “He’ll hide my phone, or he’ll take my keys. One time, I took his cleats and wrapped them in tape. We just try to keep it fun and keep winning.”

“It’s like surfing,” Beckham recently stated about the unexpected nature of football and life. “Some waves you crash; Some waves you ride all the way in. You’ve just got to get back up on the board.”

Other young players, including 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman, have also credited Beckham’s leadership and guidance for their improvement this season. “He was someone I looked up to while growing up,” Bateman explained. Bateman’s young career, like Beckham’s, has been hindered due to injuries. However, with the proper rehab plan and mindset, Beckham emerged on the other side stronger than before. “I modeled a lot of things about my life after him,

T YLER LINDERBAUM

eVerMOre

After starting as a rookie first-round pick in 2022, C Tyler Linderbaum remains the anchor to the Ravens’ offensive line that has helped produce the NFL’s No. 1 rushing attack this season. His technique and diligence in his craft with processing adjustments at the line of scrimmage have stood out as he builds on his strong play in Year Two. Learn more about him below:

What do you like to do on your off day?

What is your favorite football memory/moment?

 I like relaxing and hanging out with my girlfriend and my dog, Duke.

 Getting drafted [in 2022] was pretty special. I was around my family and friends – all the people who helped me get to that point. It was a pretty special night.

What is an underrated snack food?  Oreos. They’re the best. It’s underrated, because you can do so many things with Oreos like Oreo ice cream, dip Oreos in milk or you can just eat the Oreos straight up.

Do you have a favorite podcast, or do you prefer listening to music while driving?

College or pro, what is your favorite road stadium to play in?  Playing at Iowa State [Jack Trice Stadium] was always fun. Always going in there and winning was a good feeling leaving with the [Cy-Hawk] Trophy.

 I don’t listen to much podcasts. I like red dirt country music from Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks and Zach Bryan.

If you could be a teammate of any football player in their prime, who would it be?

Who first inspired you to play football?

 I was a Green Bay Packers fan growing up, so probably Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers. I watched the Packers all the time.

 Definitely my brother, Logan. He’s three-and-a-half years older than me, and watching him play football made me want to do it. He wrestled in college [at Minnesota State].

14 | 2023 baltimore ravens gameday

who is your biggest motivation?  The team is my biggest motivation. All the guys in here are collectively trying to win football games and trying to make it as far as we can at the end of the year with a playoff push.

BALTIMORE’S MARCHING RAVENS PRESENTED BY M&T BANK

Currently in its 76th season of operation, Baltimore’s Marching Ravens consists of over 150 musicians, Crew Members, and Staff. On gameday, the Marching Ravens can be found at their pregame concert at Oriole Park, marching down RavensWalk and through the tailgate lots, and performing in the stadium throughout gameday. In addition to performing at Ravens home games, the ensemble continues to be deeply involved in the Maryland community, appearing at several parades and events throughout the year. Truly a Maryland tradition and a Pro Football Institution. For information and to schedule an appearance, visit:

RISE & CONQUER

The Ravens’ live mascots, Rise and Conquer, live in the Animal Embassy at the Maryland Zoo. These important birds aren’t able to travel due to a dangerous avian flu. But you can meet other Zoo animals along Ravens walk before each home game. For more information, visit:

POE

PRESENTED BY MERRITT CLUBS

For the 2023 season, Poe can be found doing what he loves most – hanging out with fans and cheering on the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. Find him on Ravens gameday to say hi! Poe also loves meeting fans out in the Baltimore community. Bring Poe to your event in 2023!
