PRESEASON GAME 2 – AUG. 21, 2021 7 P.M. ET – BANK OF AMERICA STADIUM (74,867)
C OAC H H A R B S S AY S COACH HARBAUGH ON THE RAVENS 18-GAME PRESEASON WIN STREAK: “It means a lot – whether it’s a winning streak or just the idea of how you approach the games. We play our starters less than most teams, usually. We just run our installs, so it’s not like we’re game-planning for anybody. So, it’s a credit to the players, in terms of preparation, and the coaches, in terms of how we run a good training camp and offseason program. Guys are ready to play good, fundamental football. That’s what wins, whether it’s preseason or the regular season.”

QUICK HITS
7 The Baltimore Ravens travel to battle the Carolina Panthers in Week 2 of preseason play. Prior to the Aug. 21 game (7 p.m. kickoff) at Bank of America Stadium, Baltimore will practice against Carolina for two days at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.
K E Y I N J U RY N E W S First-round draft pick WR Rashod Bateman (groin) will be out several weeks, as will backup QB Trace McSorley (back). Starting WR Marquise Brown (hamstring, July 29) and rookie G Ben Cleveland (concussion, Aug. 11) have been sidelined recently. C Bradley Bozeman sustained an ankle sprain in the preseason game vs. New Orleans and didn’t practice Monday. TE Nick Boyle (knee) is currently on PUP recovering from a 2020 season-ending injury.
7 With a 17-14 home victory over New Orleans last week (Aug.14), the Ravens won their 18th-consecutive preseason game (streak dates back to 2016). QB Tyler Huntley led a second-half comeback by scoring the go-ahead TD (7-yard run) and finished 12-of-16 passing (79 yards), adding 43 rushing yards on 7 carries. Baltimore’s defense was stout, forcing 6 turnovers (3 INTs & 3 FRs), including 2 picks by second-year S Geno Stone. 7 In 2020, the Ravens earned their third-straight playoff berth – and ninth overall under head coach John Harbaugh – with an 11-5 record. Baltimore advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the eighth time during Coach Harbaugh’s 13 years at the helm. 7 In 2020, Baltimore won six-straight games – including a 20-13 Wild Card battle at No. 4 Tennessee – before falling, 17-3, in the Divisional Round at No. 2 Buffalo to close out the season.
NOTE THE QUOTE T ALEJANDRO VILLANUEVA ON BALTIMORE’S TRAINING CAMP: ”This training camp is tough. It’s a challenging, yet very rewarding, training camp, because it truly brings you back to your roots of the hardest situation that you’ve ever been in, and you have to overcome it, and you have to focus on fundamentals and techniques. You really get yourself in shape for the battle.”
7 The Ravens scored the NFL’s seventh-most points (29.3) in 2020 and allowed the NFL’s second-fewest points (18.9). Baltimore produced a league-high 25 FFs, while the offense finished with the NFL’s No. 1 rushing attack (191.9 ypg) for the second-straight season.
7 Under Coach Harbaugh, Baltimore is one of four teams (NE, GB & Sea.) to earn a playoff berth in nine of the past 13 seasons. The Ravens are also one of four teams (KC, Sea. & NO) to make the playoffs in each of the past three seasons (2018-2020).
