C OAC H H A R B S S AY S ON PLAYERS EARNING RESPECT: "Our guys work hard, and they compete hard, and everybody wants to be respected. But there’s one way to be respected, and that’s to go out there and earn that. As an athlete and as a football player especially, it needs to be done on the field in the game. ... We’re not finished, and that’s just the regular season [that] we’re not finished with yet. We have a massive game coming up in six days on a short week against a great football team."
( 12-3 )
QUICK HITS ✗ Owning the NFL's best record at 12-3, the Baltimore Ravens can clinch the AFC's No. 1 playoff seed (homefield advantage & a first-round bye) this Sunday if they secure a victory over the 11-4 Miami Dolphins, who currently stand No. 2 in the conference. ✗ A win would also clinch the Ravens' first AFC North title since 2019, as Baltimore currently holds a two-game lead over 10-5 Cleveland. Following Sunday's New Year's Eve battle at M&T Bank Stadium (1 p.m. kickoff), the Ravens close regular season action by hosting Pittsburgh, which remains in playoff contention. ✗ With two games to play, the Ravens have already sealed their 11th playoff berth during head coach John Harbaugh's 16 years at the helm. Only the Patriots (12) have earned more playoff berths than the Ravens since Coach Harbaugh's 2008 arrival. (Green Bay also owns 11 postseason berths during this time span.) ✗ The all-time Baltimore-Miami regular season series is tied, 8-8, including a 7-3 mark under Coach Harbaugh. The Ravens are 4-2 vs. the Dolphins in Charm City, winning four of the past five games. ✗ In a dominant 33-19 Week 16 win at San Francisco on Monday Night Football, Baltimore recorded 5 INTs (2 by S Kyle Hamilton and 1 apiece by CB Marlon Humphrey, ILB Patrick Queen & S Marcus Williams), scoring 17 points off the takeaways. The Ravens also posted 4 sacks (2 by DE Brent Urban and 1 apiece by DE/OLB Jadeveon Clowney & OLB Kyle Van Noy). NFL MVP candidate QB Lamar Jackson was once again brilliant, completing 23-of-35 passes for 252 yards and 2 TDs (WR Nelson Agholor & WR Zay Flowers) for a 105.9 rating, while also adding a team-high 45 rush yards on 7 attempts (6.4 ypc). With the win, Baltimore secured an NFL-best 7-1 record on the road this season.

Dec. 29:
I N J U RY U P DAT E S Kyle Hamilton (knee), T Patrick Mekari (head) & G Kevin Zeitler (thigh) left Monday's 49ers game and didn't return. In Week 11, All-Pro TE Mark Andrews (ankle) sustained what could be a season-ending injury vs. the Bengals, while standout RB J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) was injured in Week 1 and is on season-ending IR, as is electric rookie RB Keaton Mitchell (knee), who was hurt in Week 15 at Jacksonville.
NOTE THE QUOTE WR NELSON AGHOLOR ON QB LAMAR JACKSON: "I always knew he was a certain talent, an unreal talent. But when you get around him, you get to see he’s truly a quarterback. It’s one thing to be an unreal talent, but to be a quarterback is something you’re truly chosen to do, and he was chosen to be a quarterback. He has a good feel for everybody, he has a good feel for level of communication, he can read body language, [and] he can read people’s abilities in different speeds, tempos and how you run routes.”
