BALTIMORE RAVENS AT C LEVELAND B ROWNS

C OAC H H A R BAU G H S AY S COACH HARBAUGH ON THE RAVENS’ APPROACH, ENTERING WEEK 14: ”We’ll go to work. I think you win, or you learn. You lose, or you learn, too. We have to find a way to learn through everything. It’s a journey through the season. You have to find a way to deal with the adversity, deal with the good things, make the adjustments schematically that you need to make, keep improving techniquewise – all of those things go into it. Take a long view, but focus on the next week, and that’s what we’ll be doing.”

QUICK HITS

7 The Baltimore Ravens (8-4) travel to battle the Cleveland Browns (6-6) in the teams’ second division tilt of the season. (The Ravens won, 16-10, just two weeks ago when Cleveland visited Baltimore.) The Browns are coming off their bye week and face the Ravens in an unusual back-to-back games scenario. Baltimore currently sits atop the AFC North standings, while the Browns are in fourth place.

I N J U RY U P DAT E The Ravens have 16 players on IR, including starters RB J.K. Dobbins (knee), RB Gus Edwards (knee), S DeShon Elliott (pec/biceps), CB Marcus Peters (knee), T Ronnie Stanley (ankle) and DE Derek Wolfe (back/hip), all of who are on season-ending IR. Reserve CB Chris Westry (thigh) has missed two straight games, while TE Nick Boyle (knee) didn’t play at Pittsburgh. RT Patrick Mekari (hand) left the Steelers game and didn’t return, while CB Marlon Humphrey (torn pec) was also injured and is out for the season.

7 The Ravens are 8-4 for the fifth time in franchise history (also 2000, 2001, 2008 & 2010), making the playoffs each year. (The 2008 and 2010 seasons were under head coach John Harbaugh.)

7 Baltimore is 4-1 in games decided by 3-or-fewer points this season and 6-2 in games decided by 8-or-fewer points.

7 Dating back to 2018, Baltimore has produced the NFL’s best record

in the combined months of Dec./Jan., going 14-3.

LB JOSH BYNES ON THE RAVENS OVERCOMING A RASH OF INJURIES: “At the end of the day, whoever is in still has to make plays – that’s just what it comes down to. You still have to know what’s going on. I was one of those guys at one point in time. I wasn’t playing, but then my number was called, and I had to step in and play and be ready. That’s what the league is about. Whoever is out there just has to be able to step up and play the Raven way.”

7 Baltimore leads the all-time series vs. Cleveland, 33-11. Under Coach Harbaugh, the Ravens are 22-4 against the Browns, including 11-2 at FirstEnergy Stadium. Baltimore has won four straight vs. Cleveland, including Week 12’s 16-10 game at M&T Bank Stadium.

7 Last Sunday (12/5), the Ravens dropped a 20-19 heartbreaker when QB Lamar Jackson’s 2-point conversion pass attempt tipped off the hand of an outstretched TE Mark Andrews with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Baltimore opted for the potential gamewinning 2-point play after Jackson threw a 6-yard TD to WR Sammy Watkins that cut the deficit to 1. Facing a swarming Steelers’ pass rush that registered 7 sacks, Jackson finished 23-of-37 for 252 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT, adding a team-high 55 rushing yards. Though Baltimore dominated the time of possession battle (36:30 to 23:30) and held a 10-3 third-quarter lead, Pittsburgh scored 17 fourth-quarter points before the Ravens’ final touchdown, earning the Steelers a hard-fought victory at Heinz Field.
