Next of all, we have a bunch of guys just like Lamar Jackson, with heart, spirit, soul, persistence and faith. Faith and favor – they’re tied together. ... We’re trying to win the next game whatever way we can. We didn’t doubt that we could throw the ball. We didn’t doubt any of our guys’ ability to make plays in the passing game. We’re just trying to be as good as we can be from one week to the next. We have to keep improving.”

7 It’s a battle of first-place teams in their respective divisions when the Baltimore Ravens (4-1) host the Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) on Sunday, Oct. 17 at M&T Bank Stadium (1 p.m. kickoff). Riding a four-game winning streak, Baltimore faces a surging Chargers squad that has won three straight.

NOTE THE QUOTE

from the West Coast. Additionally, the Ravens aim to capture their third win against the AFC West this season, after beating Kansas City in Week 2 and Denver in Week 4. (Baltimore fell in OT at Las Vegas in Week 1’s opener on Monday Night Football.)

DE CALAIS CAMPBELL ON THE RAVENS’ MINDSET & BELIEF: ”Football is such a momentum-based game, and when you start to believe, you just create that character, and really, it reveals character – just who we are. The front office did a great job bringing in the kind of guys who never quit, who have so much heart and fight in them. The way we prepare, we know what we’re capable of doing. When you create that kind of confidence, that kind of belief, it really builds that character you need to have a chance at the end of the year.”

7 On Monday (10/11), the Ravens prevailed in another thrilling game when Baltimore overcame a 19-point deficit to beat the visiting Colts, 31-25, in OT. Down 22-3 late in the third quarter, QB Lamar Jackson led a furious comeback, with Baltimore scoring 22 unanswered points, aided by a DE Calais Campbell blocked FG in the fourth quarter. Jackson finished the night 37-of-43 (86.1%) for a franchise-record 442 passing yards and 4 TDs (2 each to TE Mark Andrews & WR Marquise Brown). Jackson also found Andrews for two 2-point conversions, including a connection that sent the game to OT. Andrews recorded a personal-best 147 receiving yards on 11 catches, while Brown hauled in 9 for 125.
