THE JIMMY BUFFETT: SON OF A SON OF A SAILOR EXHIBITION

By Claire Croley

S

omething big is happening in Mobile: Jimmy Buffett is coming to life in a brand new way. On Sept. 12, the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf debuted the Jimmy Buffett: Son of a Son of a Sailor Experience. The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf ’s goal is to cover the history, economy and culture of the Gulf of Mexico, and the Jimmy Buffett Experience does just that with a permanent immersive celebration of the music, stories, adventures and Gulf Coast spirit that inspired generations. Buffett’s impact goes way beyond Mobile, the town he grew up in, extending across the Gulf and the world through his music and legacy of helping others. The experience gives visitors a closer look at Buffett’s relationship with Mobile, the Gulf Coast and the maritime world through artifacts, photographs, film and firsthand accounts. The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf partnered with Project Art Collective to get to the

heart of who Jimmy Buffett really was, and made it their mission to show that in the experience. Spanning 6,000 square feet, the Buffett Experience is the largest Buffett exhibit, making it a mustsee attraction for Parrot Heads and lovers of music alike. This exhibit has more than enough to keep someone entertained for a day, decorated with stage props from his shows, plus features never-before-seen artifacts and an immersive concert experience. The experience showcases more than 130 artifacts from Buffett’s life, many of which have never been publicly exhibited. Highlights from the collection include: • Buffett’s 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame statue • His 12-string Martin guitar, used to write and perform Son of a Son of a Sailor • Handwritten lyrics and other personal papers from throughout his career • Never-before-released concert and recording footage • Personal photographs, scrapbooks and memorabilia offering

an intimate look at his life • A recreation of Shrimp Boat Sound, Buffett’s Key West recording studio, featuring personal items from the original space • Exclusive interviews with family members, bandmates, crew members, friends, fishing buddies, boat builders, producers, authors, musicians and business associates who knew Buffett throughout his life

“It’s not just about his music. It’s about a man who lived life to the fullest and embraced every adventure that ever was.” Buffett’s family played a major role in providing artifacts to the exhibit, as well as supporting the museum throughout the project. His family also attended the opening, with a total of 40 Buffett family members in attendance.

Museum Director Karen Poth tells us that there were many towns that wished to have this exhibit there, but Mobile was chosen by the Buffett family because of Jimmy Buffett’s connection to the city. It was not only because Buffett grew up in Mobile, but also because his grandpa, the sailor from the song Son of a Son of a Sailor, sailed in the bay across from where the museum and the exhibit sits. The exhibit is what the museum calls a living tribute, meaning it will continue to evolve as the museum uncovers new aspects of Buffett’s legacy and history. “We keep uncovering new stories and new things that he did and new ways that he helped people,” Poth said. “And so, I think it’s a given that it will continue to evolve.” Poth sees a bigger story than just a man who made music. He sees a man whose story is worth knowing and sharing. “It’s a great uplifting experience,” Poth said. “I think Jimmy devoted his life to really making people happy and giving them an escape. We think the exhibit kind of does that for

people too. So we hope everybody will come.” For Poth, the hope is that the exhibit reaches more than longtime fans. It has something for everyone, especially people from the Gulf, who can take pride in knowing the exhibit’s location here is no accident. “It’s not just about his music,” Poth said. “It’s about a man who lived life to the fullest and embraced every adventure that ever was.” From family roots on the Gulf Coast to adventures that inspired songs loved around the world, this exhibition brings Jimmy Buffett home to Mobile through immersive experiences, rare artifacts, personal stories, music, film and memories shared by those who knew him best. The Jimmy Buffett Experience is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. The cost of admission is $19, which includes access to both the exhibit and the general galleries of the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. For tickets and information, visit nmmog.org. ■

HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE #17 Citizen Information Line The Santa Rosa County Citizen Information Line, 850-983-INFO (4636), will close at 4 pm today, Sunday, October 18. Residents may find a list of community resources online. Do NOT call 911 to report downed trees or power lines. These calls tie up lines meant for emergency calls. Citizens should report downed power lines to their utility company. Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) BRACE is coordinating with national disaster relief organizations, local community partners, and our Long-Term Recovery Groups to connect Escambia and Santa Rosa County residents with much-needed assistance. Through Crisis Cleanup, residents can be connected with volunteer organizations that may be able to assist with: • Roof tarping • Tree removal • Debris cleanup • Mucking out flooded homes • Other storm cleanup needs Call Crisis Cleanup: 1-800-451-1954 Santa Rosa County Offices The following Santa Rosa County Libraries will reopen on Monday, October 19, during regularly scheduled operating hours: • Jay Library • Pace Library • Gulf Breeze Library • Library Administration • The Santa Rosa County Family History and Research Center, Milton Library and Navarre Library are CLOSED until further notice. The Milton Library is expected to reopen on Monday, October 26. • Open Santa Rosa County Libraries will have additional computers available for community members to use as they navigate recovery efforts following the storm. These resources will help residents access important information, complete online forms and connect with recovery assistance. Find more information on locations and hours at www.santarosa. fl.gov/975/Library-System • Santa Rosa County residents can dispose of vegetative debris at no cost at the Central Landfill, 6337 Da Lisa Road in Milton, Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm • Keep household garbage separate. Regular household garbage collection will continue according to schedules established by residential waste service providers. Household trash, including spoiled food, should be placed in regular garbage containers and never mixed with storm debris. Please remove all spoiled food and clean out refrigerators and freezers before disposal. • The Jay Transfer Station is for regular operating hours, 8 am to 4 pm, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Cash only will be accepted at this time. Navarre Pier The Navarre Beach Pier will be reopened daily from 5 am to 8 pm beginning on Tuesday, October 20. Fishermen are asked to bring their own ice, as ice will be unavailable until further notice. Bait is expected to be restocked by Thursday, October 22. Current Damage Assessment Numbers As of Friday, October 16, over $247 million in damages have been estimated from over 3,800 self-reports through the Property Appraiser's damage report form. Over 100 structures have been classified as destroyed; over 400 structures have sustained major damage; over 1,000 structures have sustained minor damage; over 7,000 structures have been affected. Damage Report Form Residents are asked to report property damage through the Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser's website. Search for your property by either name or street address and use the "Report Damage" button found under the "Owner Information section on your parcel page. If searching by street address, use abbreviations: Dr for Drive, St for Street, Blvd for Boulevard, etc. For the section that asks for repair estimates: You may either make an estimate or wait until you have a better idea. An exact amount is not necessary. Debris Pickup The first pass of debris pickup began on Wednesday, October 14, on publicly maintained roads. There will be multiple passes for debris removal. Santa Rosa County has an estimated 1.5 million cubic yards. The estimated cost of removal is $23 million. As of Sunday, October 18, over 100,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris and over 300 cubic yards of C&D debris have been collected. A debris removal dashboard is available to the public. Residents should place storm-generated debris along the public right-of-way,

generally the area between the street and the sidewalk, ditch, utility pole or easement. Proper placement and separation of debris will help collection crews work safely and efficiently. There is no size restriction. Keep piles consolidated by debris types (vegetative and C&D) and take care not to let any piles spill over into the street. Residents should follow these guidelines when preparing debris for collection: Separate debris by type. Place vegetative debris, such as tree limbs, branches, leaves and shrubbery, in a separate pile from construction and demolition debris, such as damaged building materials like fencing and sheds. These materials will be collected separately. Do not bag storm debris in plastic bags. Only loose debris or debris in PAPER bags will be collected. Keep debris away from utilities and obstructions. Do not place debris near drainage ditches, storm drains, mailboxes, water meters, fire hydrants, low-hanging tree limbs, power lines, transformers or other utilities. Keep roadways clear for emergency vehicles and other traffic. Leave remaining debris for subsequent collection passes. Only storm debris placed along the public right-of-way is currently eligible for collection. If debris is not removed during the initial pass, keep remaining materials properly separated and accessible for subsequent collection. Keep household garbage separate. Regular household garbage collection will continue according to schedules established by residential waste service providers. Household trash, including spoiled food, should be placed in regular garbage containers and never mixed with storm debris. Vegetative Debris Drop-off Sites Santa Rosa County has opened temporary, free drop-off sites for vegetative debris from Hurricane Isaias, providing residents with an additional option for disposing of storm-related yard debris. The sites are available for residents who prefer to haul their vegetative debris to a designated drop-off location rather than transport it to the Central Landfill in Milton. This service is in addition to the county's curbside debris pickup along publicly owned roads, which began Wednesday, October 14. The temporary drop-off sites are: • Lenny James Tolbert Memorial Park (Holley Ball Park), 3124 Bob Tolbert Road in Navarre. • Santa Rosa Soccer Park, 3360 Joppa Drive in Pace. Hours of operation: 7 am to 5 pm, seven days a week, until further notice. Important information for residents: • There is no charge for Santa Rosa County residents to dispose of vegetative storm debris at these sites. • Sites are for Santa Rosa County residents only. A valid ID or other proof of residency is required. • No commercial debris or contractor deliveries are permitted. • Only vegetative storm debris, such as tree limbs, branches, leaves and other yard debris, will be accepted. No household garbage, construction debris or appliances. • Material in bags will not be accepted. If items are brought in bags, residents may dump them out at the site and take the bags with them. • Follow posted signs and directions from site personnel. • Residents may also continue using the county's curbside debris collection service and should keep vegetative debris separate from other storm-related waste. County Parks The Santa Rosa County Facilities team has been working diligently to address all building-related needs, and several Road & Bridge crews have assisted with debris cleanup throughout the parks. While progress continues, a few areas remain roped off, and we ask citizens to avoid these sections for their safety. The following parks remain closed at this time. CORPORATE PARTNERS COMMIT $170,000 TO UNITED WAY OF WEST FLORIDA TO HELP ESCAMBIA AND SANTA ROSA COUNTIES RECOVER FROM HURRICANE ISAIAS In the wake of Hurricane Isaias, United Way of West Florida has activated the UWWF Recovery Fund to mobilize community support for households facing damage, loss and an uncertain road ahead in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Hurricane Isaias has left widespread damage across the region, creating significant needs for local families and individuals as they assess damage, clean up and begin putting their lives back together. UWWF is working to mobilize community support and collaborate with local organizations to help address storm-related needs and strengthen long-term recovery efforts. “United Way of West Florida is tremendously grateful for corporate partners stepping up to help strengthen recovery efforts,” Gilliam said. “We extend our sincere gratitude to Hancock Whitney for its generous $50,000 donation, to Navy Federal Credit Union for its $100,000 donation and to Florida Blue for its $20,000 donation to the UWWF Recovery Fund. These generous gifts demonstrate the power of community partnerships and help build the resources needed to support households affected by the storm.” 211 Northwest Florida, operated by UWWF, has played a critical role in connecting residents with assistance and resources before, during and after the hurricane. From Friday, October 9, through Monday, October 12, the team answered 920 calls in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, assisting 2,422 individuals. Those served included 257 people with disabilities, 385 seniors, 100 veterans, 352 children and 1,328 adults. Before Hurricane Isaias, 47% of households in Escambia County and 36% in Santa Rosa County were below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) Threshold, meaning they were either living below the federal poverty level or earning too much to qualify for assistance but not enough to afford basic necessities.

Now many of these households are facing damaged homes, unexpected expenses and the loss of essential belongings on top of existing financial challenges. Meeting these needs will require long-term community support. “For many households, the impact of Hurricane Isaias will be felt long after the initial cleanup is complete,” said Laura Gilliam, president and CEO of UWWF. “Long-term recovery takes time, resources and a community committed to standing alongside those who are struggling to get back on their feet. By supporting the UWWF Recovery Fund, our community can help strengthen the local organizations working to address ongoing needs and support households as they rebuild their lives.” Donations to the UWWF Recovery Fund will be distributed to local partners to support households in need of storm-related repairs and other recovery assistance. UWWF does not provide funding directly to individuals. The fund is intended to strengthen the local organizations and coordinated efforts helping affected households navigate the challenges ahead. Community members who are able to give are encouraged to contribute to the UWWF Recovery Fund. Every donation helps build the community resources needed to support local recovery efforts in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. About United Way of West Florida United Way of West Florida (UWWF) mobilizes communities to action so all can thrive in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. True to its founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our communities, UWWF is there. The nonprofit organization brings a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and responding to local needs. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity and financial security, UWWF works towards a future where every person in the community can reach their full potential. FESTA ITALIANA RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 13–14, RETURNING TO FOUNTAIN PARK

HELPING ESCAMBIA AND SANTA ROSA COUNTIES RECOVER AND REBUILD AFTER HURRICANE ISAIAS

Buona Fortuna Lodge #2835 of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America has announced that Festa Italiana 2026 has been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, and will return to Fountain Park in downtown Pensacola. Originally scheduled for October 9 and 10 at Seville Square, the 16th annual Festa Italiana is being postponed because of the developing tropical weather situation in the Gulf and the potential for significant weather impacts across Northwest Florida later this week. The National Hurricane Center began advisories Tuesday on Tropical Depression Nine, which formed in the southwestern Gulf and is forecast to strengthen. The National Weather Service Mobile/Pensacola reports increasing confidence that the local area will experience impacts that could include heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding, high surf, dangerous boating conditions and a high risk of rip currents. With Festa requiring extensive outdoor setup beginning before the event, along with the participation of more than 100 volunteers, performers, vendors and community partners, Lodge leadership made the decision to reschedule rather than risk waiting until conditions became more certain. “The safety of our members, volunteers, performers and the entire Pensacola community comes first,” said Dr. Mark DeNunzio, Festa Italiana Chair. “We also want our friends, families and neighbors to have the time they need to make their own storm preparations. Moving Festa gives everyone that opportunity, and we look forward to welcoming our community back in November for the celebration we have all worked so hard to create.” New Dates — And A Return To Fountain Park With the change in dates, Festa Italiana will return to Fountain Park in downtown Pensacola, a familiar setting for the celebration and the site of previous Festa Italiana events. The rescheduled Festa Italiana — November 13 & 14 — Fountain Park will take place from 11 am to 6 pm both days. Admission is FREE. While the dates and location have changed, the heart of Festa Italiana remains the same — two days filled with Italian food, music, culture, traditions and the warm sense of community that has made Festa one of Buona Fortuna Lodge’s signature events. Come Hungry Visitors can look forward to a menu filled with Italian favorites, including: • Shrimp Scampi Napoletano • Spaghetti and Meatballs • Lasagna • Italian Beef Sandwiches • Meatball Sandwiches • Italian Sausage Sandwiches And save room for the dolci — including homemade Italian cookies, cannoli and tiramisu.

Navy Federal Credit Union is donating $100,000 to United Way of West Florida’s Hurricane Isaias Relief Fund to help support relief and recovery efforts in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties following the storm. “For so many of us at Navy Federal, this is home,” said Jackie Biggs, executive vice president for Greater Pensacola Operations at Navy Federal Credit Union. “Nearly 95% of our Greater Pensacola Operations team members live in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, so when a storm impacts these communities, it impacts our coworkers, members, friends and neighbors. Supporting the recovery is one way we can give back to the place and people we care so deeply about.” This donation will help the United Way of West Florida and its network of community partners provide emergency assistance and recovery resources to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Isaias. “Navy Federal Credit Union has been a longstanding partner of United Way of West Florida, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our community, said Laura Gilliam, United Way of West Florida president and CEO. “In the wake of Hurricane Isaias, their generosity will help provide much-needed long-term recovery support for local families as they work to rebuild their lives. This contribution to the UWWF Recovery Fund will help us partner with local organizations to get resources where they are needed most. We are thankful for Navy Federal’s partnership and their dedication to helping our community move forward. We encourage others to contribute to the UWWF Recovery Fund. Every donation helps us support local efforts and

Guests can also enjoy Italian specialty coffees and colorful Italian sodas, gather with friends in the Italian Beer Garden, and explore Italian wines through the Festa Wine Experience. Experience Italian Culture Festa Italiana is more than a place to enjoy a great Italian meal. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair, find a comfortable spot in Fountain Park and stay awhile. Throughout the two-day celebration, Festa will bring Italian traditions to life through live entertainment, traditional Italian dancing, pasta making, pizzelle and pottery demonstrations, artisans and cultural experiences. Visitors can watch familiar Italian foods being made, see handcrafted pottery take shape, listen to music, experience Italian dance and discover some of the traditions that have been passed from one generation to the next. Families can also visit the Kids Zone, browse Italian-themed merchandise and handmade items in the Mercato and explore the Silent Auction, featuring more than 40 specially curated gift baskets and gift certificates. A Celebration With A Community Purpose Presented by Buona Fortuna Lodge #2835 of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Festa Italiana 2026 marks the 16th Festa Italiana and the 20th anniversary of Buona Fortuna Lodge. Festa Italiana is the Lodge’s largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds help support local scholarships, charitable programs serving families throughout Northwest Florida and the preservation and sharing of Italian cultural heritage. Since Festa Italiana began in 2010, the Lodge has awarded a cumulative total of more than $80,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education. Separately, Buona Fortuna Lodge and Festa Italiana have contributed more than $180,000 to charitable and community organizations. Founded in 2006, Buona Fortuna Lodge celebrates 20 years of bringing people together through Italian heritage, volunteerism, friendship and community service. Save The New Dates FESTA ITALIANA 2026 — RESCHEDULED Friday & Saturday, November 13 & 14 11 am–6 pm both days Fountain Park | Downtown Pensacola FREE Admission Those who had planned to join the Lodge this weekend are encouraged to mark the new dates, share the news and join the Buona Fortuna family in November. The weather may have changed our dates and brought us back to a familiar location, but it hasn’t changed what Festa Italiana is all about — sharing our food, our traditions, our heritage and our table with our community. At Buona Fortuna, you’re never just a guest — you’re family.

HIZASHICON EXPANDS TO TWO-DAY ANIME & JAPANESE CULTURE CONVENTION AS PART OF FOO FOO FEST 2026 The Japan-America Society of Northwest Florida will host the third annual HizashiCon on Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, at the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) in downtown Pensacola. The two-day gathering is Pensacola’s dedicated anime convention and a featured event of the 2026 Foo Foo Fest, Pensacola's 12-day celebration of the arts. Over the past two years, the convention has become one of Foo Foo Fest’s signature attractions, drawing visitors from 20 different states in 2025. “HizashiCon is a perfect fit for the JapanAmerica Society’s mission to promote crosscultural understanding,” said JAS president Layne Yonehiro. “Anime is an accessible gateway to Japanese culture, backed by one of the most passionate and creative fan communities in pop culture.” To accommodate growing demand, the convention portion of HizashiCon is expanding to two days this year, running from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 1 pm to 6 pm on Sunday. Located in FUMC’s Activity Center, the main convention floor will feature dozens of artists and merchandise booths and voice actor guests from popular anime shows, video games and web series. “HizashiCon has returned for a third year, bigger than ever! We were inspired to host the event again this year because of the feedback from our passionate attendees,” said Savannah Mikus, HizashiCon Chair. “Many have said this was their first convention, others have said it is their favorite local gathering. We couldn't let them down.”

This year’s featured guests are prominent anime voice actors Kyle McCarley (Mob Psycho 100, NieR: Automata), Ezra Weisz (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vampire Knight) and Corinne Sudberg (One Piece, Fire Force). In FUMC’s Wright Place, Consulate and Wesley Abbey spaces, HizashiCon guests can enjoy the popular cosplay contest, idol show, expert panels, video gaming and the separately ticketed Heartstrings Maid Cafe. On Saturday evening, after the convention floor closes, a Halloween night concert will take place from 6:30 pm to 9 pm in FUMC’s exciting new Upper Room venue, included with your HizashiCon wristband. The lineup includes hip-hop artist Alan Z alongside J-pop and Vocaloid acts VocaBoca and MonochroMenace. HizashiCon also extends beyond the convention itself. On Friday, Oct. 30, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, HizashiCon will partner with the 309 Punk Project’s HalloZine Fest for a free screening of the documentary “Giant Robot: Asian Pop Culture and Beyond” in the church's Wesley Abbey, featuring a Q&A with magazine co-founder Martin Wong. On Sunday morning, Coastal Cat Cafe will host two "Cat-puccinos and Cosplay" charity brunch sessions. Brunch tickets are sold separately at $60 per person, but HizashiCon passholders receive a $5 discount on regular cafe visits all weekend. Passes for HizashiCon are under $40 for the weekend, with single-day options available. Discounts are offered to students and active Japan-America Society members, and children 10 and under are admitted free.

UWF PROFESSOR RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED CHEST EDUCATOR AWARD Amanda Dexter, director of respiratory therapy and assistant professor of clinical practice at UWF, has been named a 2026 Distinguished CHEST Educator. This honor recognizes national excellence, leadership and sustained contributions to clinical education, placing Dexter among the top 3% of CHEST faculty worldwide. “We are incredibly proud to have someone of Amanda Dexter’s caliber leading our Respiratory Care program,” said Dr. Shelley Diviney, interim dean of the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health. “Her recognition as an exemplar in the profession speaks not only to her expertise as an educator and leader, but also to the meaningful contributions she has made to advancing respiratory care. It is particularly noteworthy that this distinction is so rarely achieved by a non-physician. That makes this recognition an even greater testament to Ms. Dexter’s exceptionalism, her leadership and the impact she has had on the profession and the students she serves. We are fortunate to have her expertise guiding our program and preparing the next generation of respiratory care professionals.” The American College of Chest Physicians, or CHEST, is a leading professional association in chest medicine. With over 19,000 professionals in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, this association seeks to develop innovative outcomes for lung disease patients through research, education, advocacy and philanthropy. Distinguished CHEST Educator recipients are required to have made significant and sustained contributions to leadership, development and delivery of respiratory education over a three-year period. The 2026 Distinguished CHEST Educator awardees will be honored during the opening session at the CHEST Annual Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, in Phoenix, AZ. “Teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and my work with CHEST offers a unique opportunity to both teach and learn from colleagues across the many disci-

plines involved in critical care,” said Dexter. “I hope to bring greater awareness to the essential role respiratory therapists play in chest medicine and inspire my students to embrace challenges and pursue opportunities with confidence. Each opportunity we step into helps create a pathway for the next generation while allowing us to continue learning and growing throughout our own careers.” Dexter’s career has been characterized by a passion for education, research and global health initiatives. She has traveled nationally and internationally, teaching clinicians, educators and researchers how to incorporate high-fidelity medical simulators into their teaching concepts and healthcare processes. Dexter is also actively engaged in respiratory therapy-related research and advisory roles for global health service projects. She oversees programmatic requirements for CoARC accreditation, coordinates advisory board meetings, provides academic advising and contributes to recruitment efforts. In 2025, UWF launched the B.S. Respiratory Therapy degree program, which is designed to provide students an exceptional education for a career in respiratory care and develop key skills such as leadership in management and supervision, research and clinical specialization. This program is only the third of its kind in the state of Florida and one of a select few nationwide. As the program director, Dexter collaborates with administration, faculty and staff to develop a nationally recognized educational program. This involves designing and teaching a respiratory-related curriculum, presenting at state and national conferences and contributing to community, University and department-led committees. As UWF continues to advance in clinical education and strengthen opportunities for future healthcare professionals, Dexter’s accomplishments further enrich the University and, ultimately, improve patient care for the Pensacola community and beyond.

Featuring a chorus of local veterans and service members The Falling and the Rising chronicles the imagined journey of a soldier suspended inside a coma, following an injury from a roadside IED. We follow as she makes her way through a miraculous coma-induced dreamscape—one punctuated with the lives of other fellow service members, each on their own individual journey toward healing and home. Together, they must move toward clarity, comfort, consciousness, and communal hope during a time of adversity.
