FINANCIAL DETAILS

School Fees

School fees are set by the Board of Directors each year, and present and new parents are informed in writing of the scale and fees by late November.

These are available on the Business Notice for the relevant year.

Tuition Fees

A reduction in Tuition Fees will be applied where two or more children of the one family attend the School concurrently to a maximum of 45% as follows: First student Nil, second student 15%, third child 30% and fourth and subsequent students, 45%.

Optional Extras

The School is an agent for extra activities and coaching. The fees will be in accord with the charge received.

ART/CRAFT

Due to the volume of consumable items used by students undertaking art/craft subjects, a minimum charge per term will be made.

Admission Fee

The Admission Fee ($150.00) is payable on application and is nonrefundable. This fee applies for CEEd, Junior, Middle and Senior School applications.

Accounts

School accounts are forwarded to parents approximately 20 days prior to the commencement of the term. It is the policy of the School that payment of all fees is required prior to the commencement of term.

Notice Of Removal Of Student

A term’s notice must be given to the Headmaster in writing prior to the removal of a student, otherwise a term’s fees will be charged.

Fees Payment Protection

The Grammar Foundation operates a Fees Trust, which provides for payment of school fees on the death or permanent disablement of the fee-paying parent.

The protection also provides for fee refunds where a student is absent from school for more than two consecutive weeks because of illness or accident.

Full details are available in a separate proposal form. This cover is charged at a flat rate of 2.5% of total fees and is highly recommended. For further information concerning the Fees Insurance Trust, please liaise with the Business Manager.

Education Maintenance Allowance Scheme

Parents who are eligible for this allowance must contact the Administration Office for the appropriate form. Eligibility for Education Maintenance Allowance is dependent on the parent holding a current Commonwealth Health Card. Completed forms must be received by the Business Manager prior to the first week of Term 1 and the first day of Term 3. Applications need to be made in each year that a parent is eligible.

Allowance For Conveyance

Ministry of Education application forms may be obtained from the Administration Office. An Allowance for Conveyance form needs to be completed each year.

Austudy And Allowance For Isolated Children

The Commonwealth Department of Employment Education and Training (DEET) provides financial assistance to parents to encourage young Australians to complete their secondary education or who, because of geographical isolation, must live away from home. Information on benefits and entitlement may be obtained from your local Commonwealth Government Service office or DEET office. Entries are to be found in the Commonwealth Government section of your capital city telephone directory.
