Learning Enhancement Centre

Our Learning Enhancement Centre (LEC) is a purpose-built space supporting the learning needs of many students throughout the College. The LEC is a hub providing targeted assistance for students with additional needs, extension groups, students requiring literacy and numeracy support, and our gifted and talented program, ‘Elev8 & Extend Learning Program’.

The Elev8 & Extend Learning program offers extension and enhancement for gifted and talented students who are performing well above expected academic level. Students from Years 1-9 have the opportunity to be involved through a selection process that takes into consideration their academic performance level, their higher order thinking skills and their own desire to extend their learning and engage the program. The program assists classroom teachers to provide extension for learners who need further stimulation and challenge in their learning and offers sessions in both English and Mathematics. This program was started as an initiative of Principal, Mr Ken Nuridin.
