Nigel's Notes

I am afraid to report but the dismal performances in Phase 2 of the JD Cymru Premier League continues. Following last Saturday’s heartbreaking 95th minute defeat at high flying Penybont we have lost all 5 of our fixtures since the split and we really must start to change the momentum of defeats before we embark upon the serious challenge of European Play Off matches. It is certainly no excuse, but I must point out that we have suffered and continue to suffer a huge injury list which clearly is not helping our demise. Last Saturday in Penybont, we had 9 of our first team playing squad unavailable through injury or illness. This constitutes a huge challenge for a Club of our size and capabilities, and an additional playing injury yesterday only adds to the worries. It seems unlikely that this situation will dramatically improve before the end of the season so our current squad of fit players will have to face up to the challenges ahead. This begins today with the visit of 3rd placed Haverfordwest who have had an excellent season to date. We will face another stiff examination of our resources at Maes Tegid this afternoon. If we can show the spirit and commitment which we produced in Penybont last weekend we will have an excellent opportunity to change the run of results in our favour. Without a doubt we were cruelly robbed of coming away with a result by a 95th minute goal which was scored well after the match should have finished but we will take confidence from the performance and give our visitors a serious examination of their credentials. It will again be a fascinating encounter and I hope that all who attend will enjoy the entertainment of offer this afternoon.

We have 3 home fixtures left before the end of this campaign and the Club will be looking for our Supporters Player of the Year award which will be announced in our Presentation Evening immediately after our last match v Penybont on April 19th in the Plas Coch. Voting slips will be available in our fixtures against Cardiff Met on March 29th and Penybont on April 19th. Please save the date of April 19th and join us in the Plas Coch for our Presentation Awards. It will take place at 3.15pm and hopefully be an afternoon for us all to enjoy.

Thanks as always for attending the match this afternoon and for your continued support.

DIOLCH.
