CHI EF EXEC NOT ES
Quite amazingly but we arrive at Maes Tegid this Friday evening for our last Home fixture of the 2023/24 season. Not only our last home fixture but it could also be another momentous occasion in the history of Bala Town as we search for yet another European adventure. We need a point to ensure 3rd place in the JD Cymru Premier League and this will now gain European qualification as either TNS or Connahs Quay will win the Welsh Cup!! Other results on the evening could also go our way to ensure this 3rd place finish. It really has been an amazing season and I am so proud of the performances of Colin Caton and the team to enable us to arrive at this exciting situation.
We started the season with a greatly changed squad and at times it looked very unlikely that we could challenge for a Euro spot. However the team has got stronger throughout the campaign and we now just need to get over the line to secure a superb achievement once again. I must thank Colin in his 21st year at the helm of our Club and all his Management team for their incredibly hard work in making the season such a success. The continuity of our Management team must be of huge relevance to the continued ability of the team to punch well above their weight and I’m delighted to be a part of that continuity!
It is also hugely important to have a brilliant team behind us off the field and in this respect I must emphasise the roll that Ruth Crump plays as our Secretary/Treasurer/ Licensing Manager. We will hope fully once again achieve both UEFA and Domestic licenses and this is not achieved without a tremendous amount of work. Diolch Ruth. The hard work of our Management Committee (Canteen, Hospitality, Raffle, Stewarding, Tannoy, 3G facility, Press and Media) under the auspices of our Chairman Arwel Roberts have also been superb behind the scenes and I must thank each and every one for their magnificent support of our Club. Arwel has been unwell for the last few months and we all wish him the very best as he strives to return to full health after his serious illness. Brysia Well Arwel!! The unseen work which goes on behind the scenes is staggering and I am so proud of each and every person who contributes to the enormous success which we continue to generate. I must also take this opportunity to thank our new Club President Arwel Griffiths for his invaluable support for us throughout the year. The Club are delighted to have Awi on board and thank him for his superb contribution at Maes Tegid.
As always our Sponsors remain the lifeblood of the Club and we are delighted once again to have Robert Foulkes Jones (Foxy)as our Match Sponsor. Foxy has spent a lifetime supporting this Football Club and continues to do so with his most generous sponsorship. We hope you have a great evening with us and perhaps can celebrate a little more by the end of the night. Diolch eto Foxy. Paul Absolom has also very kindly sponsored the Match Ball this evening and we thank him most sincerely not only for this sponsorship but for his sup port of the Club throughout the year despite the long mileage travelling associated with this support. My sincere thanks to all our Sponsors at the Club for the whole year. We are seriously indebted to you all for your brilliant support.
I must also thank every one of our supporters who have come to Maes Tegid this season. Your support is so important to us all. Diolch Pawb.
We are on the cusp of our 9th European qualification in the last 12 years! Truly amazing!!!!

MATCHDAY SPONSOR
CROESO I / WELCOME TO ROBERT FOULKES JONES (FOXY)
The Club are delighted once again to have Robert Foulkes Jones (FOXY) as our Match Sponsor this evening. Foxy is a lifelong supporter and has been generously sponsoring the Club for more years than most of us can remember. He is not only a supporter but actively volunteers for stewarding responsibilities at all our matches at Maes Tegid.
Without such superb support the Club would be unable to maintain the levels of success which we achieve on an annual basis and we are so grateful to Foxy for everything he does for our Club. Diolch eto Foxy!!
MATCHBALL SPONSOR
CROESO I / WELCOME TO PAUL ABSALOM
We must also thank Paul Absalom this evening for the Match Ball Sponsorship. I’m sure you are all aware that Paul is the father of our excellent Goalkeeper Kelland and he supports him and the Club at virtually every match we play despite the long travel distances which he has to make. The Club are so grateful for his support and sponsorship.
While we thank Paul for his Sponsorship of the Match Ball this evening, we must also congratulate Kelland on earning his first cap for Cymru, as he was called up to the Cymru C squad to face England C a few weeks ago, in which Kelland kept a clean sheet, making a couple outstanding saves and Cymru coming out on top with a 1-0 victory. Huge congratulations and a well done Kelland!

NEW RECRUITS?!
David Aykroyd was caught on camera last week going behind our Chief Exec’s and Colin Caton’s backs in attempting to sign up an Assistant Manager and Centre Half for next season!
Following his meeting with the 2 persons in the picture he left further financial negotiations with Nigel and Colin to be completed. Somewhat unfortunately we have to report that personal terms with both player and coach have not been agreed and the deals look unlikely to progress!!!
Colin has since reportedly told David that neither player nor coach met his requirements!!
THANK YOU/DIOLCH
ROB BEATTIE
The Club were also delighted to welcome Rob Beattie to Maes Tegid to sponsor the match ball for our last home game against Caernarfon Town on March 8th.
We would like to send a huge thank you to Rob for his support once again at Maes Tegid, and we look forward to welcoming him back to Maes Tegid, most especially for the Bragdy Cup this summer.
