We go again at Maes Tegid this afternoon after a busy and certainly very competitive start to the new campaign. We welcome Penybont to Bala and the competitive theme will definitely be continued by our visitors today who have had a good start to their season after a summer European campaign
We are 4 games in to this new league and remain unbeaten. The superb win last Friday evening against the Quay at Maes Tegid was somewhat diluted by a below par performance in Caernarfon on Tuesday evening but we came away with a valuable point from a very difficult place to visit. Their equaliser on Tuesday was the first goal which we have conceded and we will have to be equally resilient in our quest for points this afternoon.
As always it is busy at Maes Tegid and this Sunday we host a special Testimonial match for Ryan Valentine who has been at the Club for 10 years. Wrexham Legends will play against a Bala Legends team made up of our team which first qualified for Europe in 2013 by winning the Play Off final in Port Talbot and then travelling to beautiful Estonia to play Levadia Tallinn. It will be a day of resurrecting memories and meeting a host of our old players. Kick off is 1pm on Sunday. Please try to attend this fascinating encounter and show your support for Ryan.
And to follow that we have the pleasure of welcoming Scottish Championship side Queens Park to Maes Tegid next Saturday for the 3rd Round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. This will be another huge challenge for us but it is a fascinating prospect to play against one of the top Scottish Clubs. Kick Off is 5.15pm as we are live on S4C. This is a fixture not to be missed – another historic day for the Club!!
We are once again so pleased to have Plas yn Dre as our Match sponsors this afternoon. This well known hotel and restaurant are superb supporters of the Club and we cannot thank them enough for their continued support. I sincerely hope their guests will enjoy the day and help to bring us home the hugely important 3 points. Please support this superb hotel and restaurant.
Thank you as always for your brilliant support. I sincerely hope you enjoy the entertainment this afternoon.
Diolch, Nigel.Bala Town FC are delighted that our local hotel and restaurant PLAS YN DRE have again continued their superb support and sponsorship of the Club. The continuation of our relationship with them is of huge significance to us all at Maes Tegid and we are delighted to have this well known and renowned hotel as our Match Day Sponsors for the match against Penybont this afternoon.
The Club are extremely grateful for this sponsorship and we hope that the guests of PLAS YN DRE will enjoy their day with us at Maes Tegid. The Club hopes that all our supporters will support their hotel in gratitude for their tremendous support. ”
