Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2023

The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show 2023 was at the NEC, Birmingham from 21st-26th February and boasted over 350 exhibitors showcasing new campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans, holiday caravans, luxury lodges, family/adventure tents and accessories, across five halls.

Billed widely as an exceptionally family-friendly event, whole generations descended on the show to look at and purchase a new summer tent or campervan upgrade. With over 700 new models, it was the first opportunity for many exhibitors to showcase products to a highly appreciative audience.

The six-day extravaganza was action-packed with exhibitors, leisure vehicle advice centre, bushcraft demonstrations and even a highly-popular SUP pool to try out the latest stand-up paddles.

Veteran television presenter and Camping and Caravanning Club Ambassador, Julia Bradbury officially opened the show and gave fascinating keynote talks. Popular TV writer, actor, comedian and writer, Paul Merton talked about his recent conversion to ‘van life.’

Visitors were invited to step inside the latest UK and European leisure vehicles, such as the all-new 2023 models from Adria Caravans & Motorhomes, Auto-Sleepers Group, Auto-Trail, Bailey of Bristol, Chausson, Coachman Caravans, Elddis, Erwin Hymer Group UK, Knaus, Rapido, Rimor and Roller Team.

This year’s show included an all-new dedicated tent & camping hall, measured at over 16,500m2 showcasing the whole range from tents, trailer tents and camping accessories. With over 150 pitched tents, there was something for everyone from 8+ person inflatable, pop-up family tents, single tents, to bell tents, rooftop and trailer tents. There were new 2023 models from Regatta, Snow Peak, Vango and many more. Accessories included: interior carpets, canopies, camping stoves, sleeping bags and tableware.

During Lockdown, many Brits discovered the joys of campervans for the first time, with many making their first considered purchase. During the six-day show, campervan enthusiasts were treated to leading manufacturers such as: Danbury, Malibu, Vantage Motorhomes and Dreamer as well as chassis from VW, Peugeot and Ford. Designs included; iconic and modern converted, two-six berth and pop-tops.

The Caravan & Motorhome Club were even on standby to offer supervised campervan test drives, motorhome manoeuvring test drives and caravan towing tuition, throughout the event.

Cutting-edge technology was never far away and the latest Augmented Reality (AR tech) from Vango: Vango ViewAR allowed visitors to view prospective new tents/awnings through a screen, to see if they would fit inside existing motorhomes.
