Twenty-five luxuriously appointed canvas tents line the banks of the magnificent Clayoquot Sound and are dotted among the region’s pristine rainforest. Signature interiors feature clean lines, generous appointments and pared back luxury, allowing the wilderness views to take centre stage. End-of-the-bed views and specially commissioned furnishings from local designers deliver a personal connection with the Vancouver Island landscape.

1 The Cookhouse Restaurant & Deck 38 AV
Located on the foreshore of Clayoquot Sound, The Cookhouse offers ocean-view dining, drinking and lounging. In the restaurant, an open kitchen serves a daily-changing menu of sustainable local produce. Outside, generous decks and an evening fire invite guests to relax, share stories, and savour s’mores as the night draws in.
2 The Ivanhoe Bar 22
Named for Clayoquot’s vintage tugboat, the Ivanhoe Bar sits where the Bedwell River meets the Pacific. Floor-to-ceiling glass frames views of the sound as bears, eagles, herons, otters and seals go about their business. Guests lounge in leather armchairs warmed by an open fire while handcrafted cocktails and fine wines create a warm, wildlife-watching retreat.
3 The Ivanhoe Rooftop Deck 22
The Ivanhoe’s rooftop deck hosts up to 22 guests, with open-air views straight to the emerald depths of the Bedwell River. Framed by towering mountains, it’s the perfect setting for afternoon tea or sunset drinks beneath the vast, open sky.

Private dining tents provide a customisable setting for special events beneath elegant canvas canopies. Ideal for intimate gatherings or meetings at any time of day, one tent accommodates up to 16 guests, while the others each host up to 8.

Getting here
The easiest and quickest way to travel is to fly to Vancouver (YVR) on the mainland and take a scenic 45-minute seaplane flight directly to the lodge dock on the Bedwell Sound. Alternatively, guests can boat the 45-minute passage from Tofino on Vancouver Island.
Seaplane and boat transfers to and from Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge are not included in the tariff, however, Clayoquot Reservations can assist with all arrangements and add these services to your reservation to create a seamless total package.
