FOREWORD This most genuine dispersal sale of the entire milking herd on behalf of the Waller family results from their decision to cease milk production after a recent bout of poor health and a desire to retire in the near future. The sale comprises 120 Cows and Heifers In-milk all of which are entirely homebred and managed well. Breeding policy has always been to use good nominated bulls all of which have been sourced from Genus. The result is a nice even group of cows that are full of potential. The herd is cubicle housed and milked via a herringbone parlour with management based on grass silage fed on a semi TMR basis together with Trafford Gold blend and concentrates fed in the parlour. Averaging approximately 7500kg calculated from milk sent, these cows have not been overly pushed and will almost certainly improve wherever they go. A superb milk quality is being maintained with the bulk sample currently running at 4.45%F 3.28%P cc117 This is a reluctant dispersal sale of a most genuine herd of very good all round cows with attendance and inspection thoroughly recommended on Tuesday 23rd January.

GENERAL NOTES Directions to Leek Market From Leek Town Centre take the A520 Cheddleton Road. At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Junction Road. Proceed through the houses and the entrance to the Market lies on the left hand side just before the “Pride of the Moorlands” Public House. The Market is clearly sign posted on the A53 Newcastle to Leek Road and the A520 Leek to Cheddleton Road. Method of Sale All cattle will be sold in the pound and settlement of all accounts shall be made in full immediately at the close of sale. The herd will be sold under Farm Sale Rules a copy of which can be obtained from the Auctioneers. Cheques/Payment Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s Reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared and the Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any potential unknown customer. The herd is vaccinated for Leptospirosis and BVD and is Johnes monitored. Dry Cow Dry Cows have been tubed with Ubro Red and Cepralock.
