GENERAL NOTES Situation The sale site at Illot Meadows has excellent road access and adjoins the B4116 approximately 1/3 mile from the centre of Measham town.

From the A42/M42 and Ashby pick up the B4116 signposted Measham and Donisthorpe. Travel 1 mile and take the second left onto the B4116 into Gallows Lane (signposted Twycross). Travel down Gallows Lane for approximately 1 mile and cross over the Swepstone Road again continuing on the B4116 towards Twycross. The sale site entrance lies on the left after approximately 1/3 mile (before Measham Lodge on the right).

From the centre Measham on the High Street pick up Atherstone Road and travel out of the houses passing the brickworks on the left. At the staggered junction turn left onto the B4116 with the sale site lying on the right after approximately mile.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is Strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse a bid off any potential unknown customer.

All bidders should note that in many cases video security will be on site.

Liability-the auctioneers and landlords cannot be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage from any cause whatsoever which may occur whilst items or personal are on the sale ground. All lots are the vendors risk until sold and purchasers risk immediately at the fall of the auctioneers hammer.

GENERAL NOTES Site Clearance/Insurance-All lots must be removed from the sale site on sale day.

Vendors and purchasers must ensure that they have adequate insurance to cover all items at all times.

Auctioneers Right to Annul Sales- in the event of any dispute or payment issues the auctioneers may entirely at their discretion annul and cancel the sale of any such lot.

Viewing and Inspection – strictly on the morning of the sale from 8.30am onwards.

Conditions of Sale – Bagshaws usual farm sale conditions of sale shall apply at this sale, copies of which are available from the Town offices or the on site sale office. This is a collective sale-all lots are “sold as seen” with no warranty.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than €10,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. All customers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks.

FOREWORD The collective sale at Illot Meadows lies to the rear of the Old Ashby Show Site with access onto the main B4116 and arises as a result of various instructions in the area and lots gathered from local villages.

In the catalogue are various lots including a Honda TRX 420 Petrol Quad Bike and Ifor Williams DP20 Livestock Trailer from a local farmer with a variety of items for genuine dispersal.

The sale will commence at 10.30am sharp and the varied array of items will be sectionalised by the auctioneers on the numbering/delivery day with the larger items, trailers, tractors and machines sold at the end of the auction after lunch time.
