Situation

GENERAL NOTES

Manor Farm lies just out of the centre of Packington Village and is within 2 miles of the A42 and has excellent access.

Travelling south on the A42 at Ashby de la Zouch leave the dual carriageway at Willersley Junction signed for Measham and Twycross. Pick up the B4416 towards Measham and Twycross and after mile turn left signed for Packington. Travel past the Severn Trent Works on the left and after mile just on reaching the houses, turn left into Vicarage Lane passing Holyrood Church on the right. Travel up the lane and turn left into the farm yard with the car park field on the right.

From the centre of the Village travel to the Bull & Lion Public House and pick up Measham Road (B5006) towards Measham. After approximately mile and passing Mill Street on the right, turn right into Vicarage Lane past Holyrood Church up the drive and left into the farmyard with the car park field on the right.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Value Added Tax - The vendors are registered for VAT purposes (no. 126 1144 10) and VAT at the standard rate will be charged in addition to the auction price where applicable.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day

Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is Strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse a bid off any potential unknown customer.

All bidders should note that in many cases video security will be on site.

Conditions of Sale – Bagshaws usual farm sale conditions of sale shall apply at this sale, copies of which are available from the Town offices or the on site sale office.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than €10,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. All customers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities– will be available on sale day up until approximately 5pm.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at 6th January 2023. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers.

Loading

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases.

Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury.

For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

FOREWORD

This genuine sale at Manor Farm sees a wide range of well maintained equipment together with two Classic Massey Ferguson tractors and a smart John Deere for early season dispersal.

The Plant family have farmed Manor Farm since 1940 and many locals will know that all the stock has been sold off the farm with the final sheep leaving in late Autumn 2022.

There is to be a full farm reorganisation and several of the principle items in the sale have been owned from new. These include the Ifor Williams Tri-Axle Trailer, Bryce Suma Post Knocker, various trailers and the Kuhn Flail Topper.

Undoubtedly the star of the show is the John Deere 6120M Tractor and Loader which has undertaken under 3,000 hours work and was purchased from RVT second hand with little hours on the clock. Generally, all the equipment on the farm is well maintained and purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this early season sale.
