GENERAL NOTES Situation Ingestre Manor Farm lies only 3 ! miles from Stafford and has excellent national road network access via the M6 at Stafford North. From the centre of Stafford take the A518 towards Uttoxeter and the Stafford Showground. After passing the Staffordshire Police HQ on the left travel to the first roundabout adjoining the Knot and Plough Public House and turn right towards Baswich. Continue for 1 mile to the traffic lights and turn left signposted for Tixall. Travel along the straight and into Tixall village and bear left and then travel out of the village with the church on the right. Continue for 1 mile and at the severe right hand bend turn left down the tarmac drive towards Ingestre. The modern farm buildings lie on the right 1 mile down the drive. From the A51 Stone to Rugeley Road-at the A518 crossroads (Weston) travel back towards Rugeley on the A51 for approximately 2 " miles passing Pasturefields on the left. Turn into Great Haywood (following the brown signs for Ingestre Stables). Travel over the speed ramps to the mini roundabout and go right into Mill Lane. Travel under the railway bridge and over the river and after 1 # miles at the severe left hand bend turn right down the tarmac drive towards Ingestre Stables and the farm. The modern farm building lie on the right after 1 mile. Drivers beware there is a low railway bridge on leaving Great Haywood at 11ft 9” and all high vehicles must travel to and from the sale via Tixall and the main road from Stafford. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale. Please refer to the location map within the catalogue. Car Park - As sign posted on the sale day. FOREWORD The dispersal sale at Ingestre Manor Farm arises as a result of the acquisition of a major portion of land for HS2. The Collier family have farmed in the area for five generations formerly with potatoes and arable together with livestock enterprises. The breeding sheep have already been sold from the farm. In recent times winter cereals have dominated the farming system and with acquisition issues for HS2 the main machinery from the holding is now for dispersal. The stars of the show are undoubtedly the JCB Fastrac together with the SelfPropelled John Deere Sprayer and Claas Lexion Combine. All these items have been owned from new and purchased from local dealerships in Staffordshire and Shropshire. The main machines have been carefully driven and well maintained and are a credit to the Collier family and their former staff members who have kept things in very good order. In addition to the main machinery there are a range of livestock equipment, gates, troughs etc together with a mobile cattle race system and other sundries. There are also various included items from local farmers at this easy access sale.
