GENERAL NOTES Situation Bentilee Farm lies just out of Abbots Bromley and has access off the B5234 at Bromley Wood.

From Uttoxeter take the B5013 towards Abbots Bromley and continue right through Abbots Bromley village and turn left onto the B5234 down Ashbrook Lane towards Burton on Trent and Newborough. Continue through the traffic calming area and out of the village and after ! mile at Bromley Wood turn right signed for Hoar Cross. Travel ! mile towards Hoar Cross and turn right down Glass Lane with Bentilee Farm lying first on the right.

From Burton on Trent/A515 at Mitre crossroads close to Newborough pick up the B5234 sign posted Newborough and Abbots Bromley. Travel through Newborough Village and after 2 " miles at Bromley Wood on the severe bend turn sharp back left towards Hoar Cross. Travel ! mile and then turn into Glass Lane on the right with Bentilee Farm lying on the right.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is Strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse a bid off any potential unknown customer.

GENERAL NOTES Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than #10,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. All customers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

FOREWORD This dispersal sale arises as a result of the property being sold and a full retirement.

The Roberts family have been at Bentilee Farm since July 1941 and the unit was formerly a mixed farm and in later years has reared and sold store cattle.

All the tractors have been owned from new and several of the implements have been purchased in recent years and have undertaken little work.

Included in the sale are a large range of non-vat items including; collectables and a small few lots of larger household furniture.

Purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this diverse Staffordshire sale.

The auction sale is being conducted in accordance with strict social distancing rules and Government Guidelines in accordance with COVID 19 regulations.
