GENERAL NOTES Situation Appletree Farm lies only 2 ! miles from the main A50 Stoke/Derby link with excellent access from the A38 and Derby via the Toyota Island Interchange.

From the A515 South of Sudbury on the main island travel 600 yards south towards Draycott in the Clay and turn left down Scropton Lane. Continue into the village of Scropton and at the main grass triangle bear right taking the lane towards Hatton. Travel approximately " mile passing the Avara Foods Warehouse on the right. Appletree Farm lies on the right after approximately ! mile.

From the A511 adjoining the railway and Nestle factory entrance near Tutbury travel back towards the salt box and at the first mini roundabout turn left signposted Scropton into Scropton Road. Travel approximately 1 mile until the residential area finishes and adjoining the 40-mph signboard Appletree Farm lies immediately on the left.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is Strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse a bid off any potential unknown customer.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. All customers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities – Telehandler loading facilities will be available on site up until approximately 5.00pm on sale day. th

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at Friday 8 October 2021. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers.

Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases.

Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury.

For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks.

FOREWORD The sale arises as a result of retirement due to ill health and many locals will know that the excellent herd of Charolais cattle were sold from the farm quite some time ago.

The tractors are in very good order and in particular the Massey Ferguson model has full joystick controls and was purchased with very few hours on the clock and has in fact as detailed in the catalogue hA undertaken less than 1600 hours work.

The range of livestock equipment includes an excellent galvanised cattle crush which has undertaken very little work together with a range of other sundries and effects.

Purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this excellent Saturday sale.
