This genuine dispersal sale of the entire herd on behalf of Richard Cooper results from his decision to cease dairy farming at Little Moreton Hall Farm.

The sale comprises 35 Cows and Heifers In-milk and In-calf together with 3 In-calf Heifers.

These are all homebred, generally Friesian of type with many Swedish Red X featuring in the sale.

The herd is loose housed and milked via a herringbone parlour with management based on a low input system of grass silage and flat rate nuts with no concentrates fed in the parlour. The herd is milk recorded with NMR with the latest recording showing an average of 5768kg 4.28%F 3.35%P with the bulk sample showing an average of:

4.42%F 3.51%P cc212

This is a most genuine dispersal sale of a herd of cows bred to produce milk from grass and that are sure to go on and improve wherever they go.

GENERAL NOTES

Directions to Leek Market

From Leek Town Centre take the A520 Cheddleton Road. At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Junction Road. Proceed through the houses and the entrance to the Market lies on the left hand side just before the “Pride of the Moorlands” Public House.

The Market is clearly sign posted on the A53 Newcastle to Leek Road and the A520 Leek to Cheddleton Road.

Method of Sale

All cattle will be sold in the pound and settlement of all accounts shall be made in full immediately at the close of sale. The herd will be sold under Farm Sale Rules a copy of which can be obtained from the Auctioneers.

Cheques/Payment

Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s Reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is strictly Cash.

Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared and the Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any potential unknown customer.

The herd passed its last TB test on the 19th June 2023 and is on 6 monthly tests.
