OPERATIONS
For the past two fiscal years, UAP Manila Maynilad has molded me to become a better public servant. There were several occassions and events which made me grow not only as an architect but also as a person. Those changes in me brought by the chapter has equipt me to be able to face several challenges as a professional and in by that, I am grateful to the Chapter. Signing off is not the end of the line for me to serve the chapter but rather I would like my other colleagues to experience the growth and challenges from what the chapter had given me. I am excited for the future of the Chapter. I may not have the title of an officer anymore but that doesn’t stop me from serving the UAP Manila Maynilad Chapter! All the best, Ar. CHAPTER VICE-PRESIDENT FY 2019-2020 PROGRAMS Ar. Emmanuel L. Macalino II After a year of being a Vice President, the time has come for me to leave my post or position. During my term I hope that I have been able to make my views in many known in many issues. I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve this chapter. I wish to thank my fellow officers for giving me this opportunity to serve in this position. I truly feel that the years (bod to vp-programs) here have been fulfilling and have given me the opportunity to gain valuable experience. Ar. James Andrew Zagado Manila Maynilad Chapter is like a second home for me. Building new brothers and making new friends. Being an officer for two consecutive fiscal year made me realize that there is a big family in this kind of profession. It was one hell of a ride. It didn’t even cross my mind that i would become one of the officers last year. It was abrupt and i didn’t come prepared. All i know is that i like to take pictures and i have my own set of ideals in creating my work but then, there i was and said “f*** it” let’s try and do our best in the process. Engaging as one of the officers in the chapter had brought me good things in terms of self-development and working along with the other officers. I met new people and somewhat boosted my self-confidence in creating graphics, documenting, and my overall self-awareness. I know that at some points of the whole year i have messed up a lot of things but as all family goes, we can always come back and come back stronger than before without holding back. I want to say thank you to all the officers that have accepted me as i am with all the shortcomings that i have. To the members that supported the whole chapter in the events to make it more welcoming and fun. I do hope that you all had a blast in the chapter and i’ll be hoping that you’ll continue to do so. It is not just the officers that make the chapter or the members but we as a whole. I hope that we can work again together in any form possible to help each other, to uplift the profession, to lift each other up. Ramos When I transfer to this chapter, I was very much welcomed that I felt that it’s the chapter where I felt more like home - reconnecting with my professors, friends and extending my connections as an architect. This chapter helped me to discover the other perspective of my profession. As I accepted the position as a director officer, I know that it will require more time, effort and dedication to do the work being assigned to me. I would like to acknowledge the trust given to me by Ar. Honesto Uy and Ar. Bing Tayag as this is truly an honor and a great opportunity to serve this chapter, Maynilad Chapter. Now, I can say that, “I am fortunate to have another term to serve the Maynilad chapter with more challenging but exciting tasks.
