weathers. We asked Craig what he would say to someone thinking about joining the industry. He answered: “If anyone is looking for a career in agriculture and they’ve got no experience, don’t let that hold you back, just like I was, I had no real experience in it and now I’ve done it, it’s the best five years I’ve ever done.”

The competition focuses on finding the best technicians (past or present) to talk about their careers, what made them want to be part of the industry and why they enjoy doing what they do. LE-TEC – an industry partnership of the AEA, IAgrE and BAGMA – looks for people who can inspire the next generation of landbased engineering technicians.

James won training from AP Air Europe and a pressure washer from Karcher, while Brad won a BAGMA Installation and Handover training course from Merlo and a Makita MR007GZ Radio. Craig won a 70-piece Siegen Tool Kit from Sealey (donated by Kubota).

The competition will run next year and the entry opening date is in December 2022.
