Hooray, summer is here! We are enjoying the long days and consistent sunshine!
At Backstage Dance Studio, summer is a time when we offer a variety of drop-in classes that dancers can try in the afternoons or evenings, half-day camps for children ages 3 to 6, full-day camps for ages 6 to 11, and during the month of August, we begin preparing our competition teams for the upcoming season.
If you haven't signed up for a summer class or camp, it's not too late! See details in this newsletter and enjoy the SUMMER!

Dancing over the summer helps dancers maintain the skills they worked so hard to develop over the school year, learn new technique and build new skills! It is also the perfect time to try a new dance style to see if it's something you like!
It's not too late to join a class for the summer! Register on the Backstage website or contact us at dancewithus@backstagedance.org .

Weekly classes for all styles, ages and levels, June 26 through August 3.
Drop-ins and 6 week session available (tuition prorated based on when you start the session). We hope to see you at the studio this summer!

IN THE NEWS
Although August may feel like vacation time for Backstage since we don't offer as many classes, it is in fact one of our busiest months with planning! To continue serving our families the best we can, we are preparing for our upcoming year in full. This includes:
curriculum development and refinement
monthly classroom focus calendar
spring show theme and music
team choreography
staff CPR and first aid certification
dance intensive, August 8-10 (SPACE
IS STILL AVAILABLE!)
In addition, we are proud to require teacher training and teacher assistant training to keep our classrooms and faculty informed and prepared to teach utilizing the latest innovations and best teaching practices.
Finally, we spend time in August organizing and re-stocking the studio for the upcoming dance season. Have you seen our progress in the lobby reception area? We love taking the time to freshen up our spaces to create the best environment possible for our dance families.
