ANNUAL REPORT 2025-26
From the Senior Director We also launched Babson in Latin America, a multi-country semester program connecting students with entrepreneurial ecosystems, cultures, and alumni networks across Argentina, Peru, and Chile.
At Babson College, we believe entrepreneurial leadership is strengthened through global learning. Through the work of the Glavin Office of International Education, we create opportunities that help students develop the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to lead in an interconnected world. The 2025-2026 academic year was marked by growth, innovation, and resilience. Students participated in international experiences in record numbers, while faculty and staff expanded opportunities for global learning both inside and outside the classroom. A major milestone was the launch of Babson Begin: London, a new pathway that enables students to begin their Babson experience abroad. The inaugural cohort of 31 students spent the fall semester living and learning in London, demonstrating the transformative impact of introducing global learning at the start of a student's college journey. Global engagement continued to expand across our education abroad portfolio. Fiftyseven percent of Babson's Class of 2026 participated in at least one global learning experience, while long-term study abroad participation reached a record high with 419 undergraduate students studying abroad.
Short-Term Programs also achieved record participation, engaging 358 undergraduate and graduate students across 17 faculty-led programs in 14 countries. Graduate student participation in Electives Abroad and International Consulting Experiences increased by 30 percent, providing new opportunities for experiential global learning. The International Student & Scholars Services team supported more than 1,700 international students, scholars, and alumni. During Fall 2025, Babson welcomed students from 99 countries and remained committed to supporting students through a changing U.S. immigration landscape with consistent communication, individualized guidance, and a welcoming campus environment. Our commitment to access remained strong through the TARCO Global Learning Fund and our recognition as a leading producer of Gilman Scholars, helping ensure meaningful global opportunities are accessible to students from all backgrounds. Thank you to our faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and global partners for making this work possible. We are proud of what we accomplished together and excited for the opportunities ahead.

Undergraduate Summer, Semester & Academic Year Abroad
Student Reflections I chose to study abroad because it offered a rare opportunity to integrate academic exploration, professional development, and cultural immersion in a way that would be difficult to replicate on campus. Studying in Milan allowed me to take interdisciplinary electives, such as Managing Fashion and Luxury Companies and Cracking the Code: Leonardo da Vinci and Renaissance Art, that broadened my perspective beyond traditional business frameworks. At the same time, I completed a consulting internship for a startup, gaining hands-on experience in a relationshipdriven international workplace. This experience reshaped how I view global work environments, particularly the importance of cultural awareness and expectation-setting in professional contexts like finance and consulting. Through coursework, internship seminars, and daily interactions, I learned that effective teams are built on cultural understanding as much as technical skill. - Kashaf Iftikhar (IES Milan: Business Studies, Fall 2025; API: American University of Sharjah, Spring 2026)
I chose to study abroad because I wanted to push myself out of the routine I had built at Babson and experience a completely different academic and cultural environment. Being in Madrid gave me the chance to see how people live, think, and learn outside the U.S. and I knew that exposure would help me grow personally and professionally. I also wanted to understand Europe’s business landscape because my long-term interests lie in marketing and eventually expanding my family’s pharmaceutical business internationally. The experience ended up changing my perspective far more than I expected. Living in a new city made me more independent, adaptable, and confident in navigating challenges on my own whether it was language barriers, academics, or building new friendships from scratch. After gaining this experience at IE, I’m now more intentional about seeking out global opportunities. Overall, studying abroad helped clarify the kind of career and life I want; one that’s more international, more open-minded, and more connected to the world beyond Babson. - Harshman Singh Sarin (IE University, Fall 2025) 7 | Annual Report 2025-2026

Babson Begin: London Babson Begin: London represents a strategic expansion of Babson’s global education portfolio, offering first-year students the opportunity to begin their academic journey abroad while remaining fully integrated into the Babson experience. Launched as a pilot in Fall 2025, the program enables students to matriculate at Babson from day one, complete Babson-approved coursework in London, and transition seamlessly to the Wellesley campus in January, maintaining academic alignment with their class year throughout. The inaugural cohort of 31 students established a highly engaged, shared living and learning experience and demonstrated strong outcomes across academic success, adaptability, and student satisfaction. Early results position Babson Begin: London as a promising model for expanding access to global learning at the point of entry to the Babson experience. Academically and experientially, the program integrates structured coursework with immersive, city-based learning. Students engage in London as an extension of the classroom while developing independence, confidence, and cross-cultural competencies, hallmarks of Babson’s approach to entrepreneurial leadership.

Education Abroad Babson in Latin America The inaugural Babson in Latin America program launched during the Spring 2026 semester as a strategic effort to reignite student interest in studying abroad in Latin America- a region that had seen significant decline in student numbers following the pandemic. In partnership with IES Abroad, we developed a unique experience designed to help students expand their academic knowledge, cultural understanding, and professional networks throughout the region.
Undergraduate Semester Abroad A hallmark of the program was its strong integration with the Babson alumni network in Latin America. Through a successful collaboration with the Babson Alumni Office, students connected with alumni through company visits, networking events, and guest speaker sessions. In addition to their coursework, participants completed the Emerging Global Leaders Badge, a co-curricular program focused on developing intercultural competency and global leadership skills.
Over the course of the semester, students studied in Argentina, Peru, and Chile, gaining firsthand exposure to the economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial landscapes of each country. Most participants lived with host families, creating an immersive experience that was a highlight of the experience for students. Academically, students selected from a wide range of courses in subjects including economics, business, entrepreneurship, history, and Spanish language.
Education Abroad Student Reflection A semester at HEC Paris gave me an amazing opportunity to meet incredible full-time and exchange students who shared the same goal and excitement. Taking seven marketing courses and seeing how sustainability is naturally integrated into the European way of thinking was challenging, inspiring, and so much fun. - Proud Laoprasert MBA 2026

Short-Term Programs
Student Reflections This short-term study abroad program has been my favorite experience at Babson so far. The ability to travel to three German cities over the spring break and visit some incredible businesses and government organizations is an opportunity like no other. Not only that, but the friendships and memories made on this trip will last a lifetime. Truly a one-of-one experience." - Aleksander Culbert, '28 Political Economy of Sustainable Development: Case of Germany (Spring 2026)
“This program was definitely the highlight of my 2-year MBA! Learning on the field with the professor and fellow classmates, visiting companies with such long history and learning about a different economic environment through European professors increased my whole perspective on business and on global markets. It was amazing how much more I learned in a one-week immersive course where the class lectures and the company visits were taken outside into our day-to-day conversations and allowed us to open our minds into a global economy." - Erika Ordonez, MBA'26 Business Models, Competitiveness, and the Changing European Environment in Italy (Winter 2026) "This was one of the most valuable experiences of my MBA. In eight days in Copenhagen we went inside the companies and systems that make Denmark a global model for sustainability, from the Kalundborg Symbiosis to Ørsted's renewable transformation, and I left with a sharper systems-level lens that I now apply directly to my work investing in climate ventures. Professor Erzurumlu's curation turned a week of site visits into a coherent education I will carry for years." - Ryan Lee, MBA’27 Technology, Design, and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Systems in Denmark (Summer 2026) 11 | Annual Report 2025-2026

Testimonials
“The Global Learning Fund grant made it possible for me to fully participate in experiences that extended far beyond the classroom. Because of this support, I was able to immerse myself in a new culture, build lifelong friendships, develop a global perspective, and pursure opportunities that continue to shape my academic and career goals. As I move forward, I will carry the lessons, relationships, and confidence gained during this semester into every future endeavor at Babson and beyond. - Alisa Starkova, ‘28 (Singapore Management University, Spring 2026)
“College is already a significant financial commitment, and as a student who is paying for part of my tuition and working my way through school, finding additional funds for opportunities like international travel can be challenging. Receiving grant funding was essential in making this experience possible. While the course fee was largely covered through financial aid, the grant allowed me to cover major additional expenses such as flights, food, and obtaining my passport. Without this support, participating in this program would not have been financially feasible for me. The grant directly enabled me to take part in an experience that has had a lasting academic, professional, and personal impact.” - Stratton Seymour, '27 International Consulting Experience (Portugal, Winter 2026)

What do participants say? Through the Leadership Across Difference program, I completed a self-designed field immersion across Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome, focused on intercultural leadership.
A year ago, I visited Babson and saw a poster for the Leadership Across Difference (LAD) program during their graduation, and I remember thinking, “I’m going to do this.”
A defining part of this experience was engaging with Dr. Milton Bennett, which helped me move from a surfacelevel understanding of diversity to a more intentional approach to leading across cultural differences. This experience strengthened my ability to recognize, interpret, and integrate diverse perspectives, shaping how I approach leadership in global environments.
Today, I’m proud to say I’ve completed it. This experience pushed me outside my comfort zone and transformed my understanding of leadership. Before Babson, I wasn’t exposed to so many cultures, but here I’ve built friendships around the world and gained perspectives that have truly broadened my mindset.

Gilman International Scholarship—a nationally competitive program funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Gilman Scholarship Program empowers American undergraduate students with limited financial means to pursue study abroad opportunities, making high‑impact global learning accessible to students from all backgrounds. Since its launch in 2001, the program has supported more than 50,000 students in studying abroad in over 160 countries worldwide. Since we began formally tracking Gilman data in 2012, more than 100 Babson students have been awarded Gilman Scholarships—totaling $247,400 in funding to support their education abroad experiences. This recognition reflects Babson’s strong commitment to expanding access and removing financial barriers for students who may not otherwise see global education as possible.
Find Babson Fulbright Fellows The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the flagship international educational exchange sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries by providing study/research or English teaching assistant grants. The Babson College 2025–2026 Fulbright U.S. Student Program application cycle included two exceptional applicants. The first applicant sought an English Teaching Assistantship in Costa Rica, drawing on his fluency in Spanish and his extensive experience as a summer educator in the Dominican Republic, where he has volunteered since high school. The second applicant proposed conducting research in the United Kingdom, combining her business strategy background with a strong interest in the accessibility and affordability of medications. Although the Babson applicants were not selected, we recognize and commend all applicants for the significant time, effort, and thoughtful reflection they invested in the application process, including their commitment to refining their essays through multiple revisions 21 | Annual Report 2025-2026
