Summer Program Packing List
We recommend packing for comfort, flexibility, and a range of summer weather conditions in Boston, which can vary between warm days and cooler evenings.
Clothing
• Casual, comfortable clothing suitable for daily classes and activities
• Layers for cooler temperatures (e.g., sweatshirts or hoodies)
• Light rain layer (jacket or umbrella)
• Athletic or activewear (if participating in recreational activities)
Footwear
• Comfortable walking shoes suitable for extended wear
• Shower shoes (e.g., flip flops) for shared bathrooms
Toiletries and Personal Care Items
• Daily personal hygiene items (Deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, etc.)
• Shower supplies (shampoo, body soap, etc.)
o Limited supplies are also available at the Campus Store
• Sunscreen
• Any other necessary personal care or health items
• Medications included on your signed Medication List (all medications, including over-the-counter will be held by Health Office)
Residence Hall Essentials –
For those who are unable to travel with bulky items, linen/towel/pillow bundles are available to purchase in advance and will be available to pick up at check-in. Purchase HERE by June 26.
• Twin XL sheets and comforter and/or blanket(s)
• Pillow(s)
• Towels
• Laundry bag or hamper, optional
Academic and Daily Use Items
• Backpack or bag for daily use
• Cell phone and charger
• Laptop and charger (Chromebooks are not recommended)
• Minimum laptop specs required:
o Core Ultra 5 Processor
o 16 GB memory
o 512 GB storage
o 14” screen
• Notebook and pen for note-taking
Other Electronics
• Headphones
• Power strip or extension cord (recommended)
• Portable charger (optional)
Miscellaneous
• Sunglasses
• Reusable water bottle
• Umbrella
Required Documents and Essentials
• If applicable, Medication List (found in Onboarding Portal) should be handed to Health Office at Orientation
• Government-issued or high school ID
• Health insurance card (or copy), if front and back of card were not provided to Health Office already in the Onboarding Portal
• Spending money or payment method for incidental expenses
Additional Items for Extended Stays (2–3 Weeks)
Participants staying multiple weeks may wish to bring:
• Shower caddy for shared bathrooms
• Personal comfort items (e.g., books, small recreational items)
Additional Notes
▪ Residence hall space is limited; please pack thoughtfully
▪ Expensive or irreplaceable items should be left at home
▪ Students will have access to FREE laundry facilities and laundry detergent will be provided
▪ Cleaning wipes will be provided
