CAMPUS LIFE ADMINISTRATION

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Dinner in Green | Babson College Dining (BCD) hosted the third annual Dinner in Green event, a legacy event that celebrates the positive impact of entrepreneurship and Babson entrepreneur successes Hosted every April, the event proudly featured alumni-founded brands including Dumpling Daughter, ButcherBox, New City Microcreamery, Hillside Harvest, High Time Foods, Rub Smoke Love, and students took home custom Dinner in Green tote bags from alumni-founded, WASTEWEAR Guests had the opportunity to engage with Babson alumni and current student food entrepreneurs, discussing their products, entrepreneurial journeys, and building valuable connections

BABSON

Desi Eats | BCD partnered with an undergraduate student to bring his healthconscious Indian restaurant concept to life at Trim and Roger’s Pub In preparation for his goal of opening Desi Eats after graduation, the Dining Team provided mentorship and hands-on training to Krish that included all facets of restaurant operations, covering budgeting, marketing, staffing, culinary, and beyond *Desi Eats was highlighted in the Winter edition of At the Table, the Chartwells Magazine*

Campus Store Collaborations | Initiative set in motion to increase the number of alumni businesses represented in the Campus Store

EXPERIENCE

Village Coffee House | Launch of a new coffee house at the Herring Entrepreneurial Leadership Village (HELV), featuring house-made baked goods, salads and sandwiches, and serving up Bean & Bean Coffee, a NYC brand run by a mother-daughter team, known for their ethically sourced beans and their support of sustainable farming practices that also empower female-owned and/or operated coffee farms and mills

Babson Olin Cross Dining | 22% increase in Olin students dining at Babson and 19% decrease in Babson students dining at Olin, indicating increased satisfaction in the BCD program

Commuter (Block) Plans | Voluntary participation in Commuter Meal Plan increased 46% over FY24, with an increase of 86% for Graduate Students

Coleman Refurbishment Project | In partnership with Facilities & Construction Management, refurbishment of Coleman Hall, including new single use bathrooms, laundry room, building lounge, study room, and a refresh of all building finishes

LASO Trim Takeover | This vibrant collaboration between the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) and BCD brought the spirit of Carnival to Trim Dining Hall and students voted it the Best Event of the Year A flavorful and unforgettable celebration of culture, community, and creativity

INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE

Carol Hacker Student Life Fund | Established in 2023 to honor Carol Hacker, who helped countless students secure the necessary funding to be an active member of the campus community beyond the classroom This fund provides financial support for undergraduate students to participate in approved co-curricular and engagement activities

Over $15,000 awarded to a total of 21 undergraduate students this year to support study abroad experiences, North Atlantic Collegiate Rugby All-Stars Team participation, and KCACTF, to name a few

Halal Offerings on Campus | Introduced alumni-owned franchise Halal concept, Shah’s Halal, to Olin Cafe Babson College Dining procured 34% more Halal products across all dining locations from the previous year

‘Be A Star’ Frontline Joyful Award | 2024 Be a Star Winner Jackie Quadra was selected out of Chartwells employees nationwide to be recognized as the Frontline Joyful Award winner This prestigious honor highlights the incredible talent within Chartwells globally, with each award recipient taking an extraordinary journey, embodying core values, and making a lasting impact on their communities Lifeworks Employer of the Year | Tara Norcross, Director of Dining Services at Trim Dining Hall, was named Employer of the Year by Lifeworks Arc , a not-for-profit organization that provides essential job training and placement services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
