“I believe that a domestic interior must be in a certain sense ‘relaxed’, to allow people to live in a normal manner and not as if they were in a museum. At the same time I believe that a domestic interior must be stimulating to communicate its essence: the essence is simply the experience of living in it.

I think the biggest challenge in designing an interior is the fact that on the one hand, this should be somehow special, to create a special atmosphere. On the other hand, it should not be so special as to become a kind of manifesto of the designer.
