Advanced Engineering

What

Is your route to engineering success? These programmes aim to develop a clear understanding of the principles and skills involved in the various Engineering disciplines. The courses have a strong vocational emphasis and provide general transferable skills in readiness for employment in this specialised field. This is a new approach to higher education, integrating academic and applied learning with an industrial context. It is the result of a partnership between employers and the College to develop innovative and flexible delivery models for all the HNC programmes.

Who are B&FC?

B&FC holds national Beacon status and is renowned for high standards of teaching, value for money and a strong climate of student support. Our degree courses are awarded by Lancaster University, ranked in the top ten universities nationally* and among the top 1% globally†. They’re designed with employers for employers to get your career off to the best possible start.

Why

An HNC Engineering qualification? Skilled engineers are currently in short supply and excellent career opportunities exist as design production or project engineers at technician engineer level. Many past students are now employed by major companies such as EDF Energy, Westinghouse (Springfields Fuels Ltd), BAE Systems, Airbus, NIC, GCE and Ford Motor Company as design, production, project or research and development engineers. *Source: Complete University Guide 2013 †Source: The Times Higher Education World Rankings 2010/11

Parttime study is ideal for those in employment and wherever possible, we will fit timetabling around the demands of family and working life. Learning takes place at our Bispham Campus.
