Join us for an afternoon of crafting as we make one-ofa-kind cards for those special individuals in our life. All materials are provided. THE PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ADULTS AND OLDER TEENS.

STAR PARTY WITH THE FORT WORTH ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY
AGES 0 TO 100 ARE INVITED TO EXPLORE THE WONDERS OF THE UNIVERSE WITH THE FORT WORTH ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY. THIS EVENING OF HANDS-ON EXPLORATION WILL ALLOW PARTICIPANTS TO LOOK AT OBJECTS IN THE NIGHT SKY THROUGH TELESCOPES AND ASK EXPERIENCED ASTRONOMERS ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE! FLASHLIGHTS ARE RECOMMENDED AS THE PROGRAM IS HELD OUTSIDE IN THE PARK AREA BEHIND THE LIBRARY. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT 18+. IF BAD WEATHER PREVENTS THIS PROGRAM FROM TAKING PLACE, A CANCELLATION NOTICE WILL BE POSTED AT AZLELIBRARY.ORG & THE LIBRARY'S FACEBOOK PAGE BY 3 PM THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

COMING MARCH 2022... AZLE MEMORIAL LIBRARY'S 3RD ANNUAL
ADULT SPELLING BEE Teams of one to six players (Adults 18+) will compete in a multiple round spelling bee style competition. Registration required. Forms can be found at the Information desk starting February 1st and are due by March 7th. At the BEE, each team will be provided a white-board to write their answer for each round. Rounds are point based. Points are awarded for correctly spelled words; misspelled words DO NOT result in elimination from the competition. The team with the most points will advance to a Regional Spelling Bee (TBA) to compete with teams from other libraries! Questions? Contact the Adult Services Librarian, Liz, at 817-752-2682

She has a Masters in Library Sciences with an emphasis in Youth Services from Texas Woman’s University, plus experience in libraries and the communication field. She LOVES storytime where she can spend time with little friends singing, dancing, and reading great stories while learning all together. Miss Katie and her dog, Cordelia, just moved to the area from McKinney, TX. Come say hi to Miss Katie in the Children's area or at an upcoming program!
