Is it just another event or is it more? Attendee Melanie Morten, a mail courier, says, “It’s a celebration of our resilience We’ve learned to adapt, and made unexpected partnerships. This is about all of us ” A trip down

Memory lane, or a place to make new memories with friends, either way, visitors will be delighted.

BEYOND THE BATH: HOT WATER THERAPY

COLUMNIST: Kalimeris Embersong

Magical manipulation of the element of water has been around for millenia on Azeroth Shamans, mages, priests, and monks have long worked with naturally occurring and conjured water. Healers have long known its healing properties too This natural treatment has been valued for its ability to relieve pain, improve circulation, provide relaxation, and promote overall well-being Recent exploration into the Isle of Dorn has brought this traditional Earthen healing method to mainstream attention As more seek to utilize this treatment for various health conditions let’s take a look at some of the key advantages

Sometimes called balneotherapy, or hydrotherapy, hot water therapy can treat illness, injury, and disease by encouraging circulation and muscle relaxation Water therapy eases joint pain by the simple mechanism of taking the pressure off the body by floating The warmth of the water can help reduce stiffness and swelling, and improve mobility. This might be one reason why the Earthen of the Isle of Dorn favor hydrotherapy Their bodies, made up of different types of Azeroth’s stone core compounds, can be quite solid and heavy. The warmth, and the buoyancy of the hot water provide relief from pain and everyday alike

stress. Numerous hot water spas are found throughout the towns, and a large outdoor spa complex called Boulder Springs welcomes Earthen and visitors alike

The benefits of hydrotherapy are many: pain relief and muscle relaxation, reducing inflammation, improved circulation, stress reduction, enhanced respiratory health, detoxification, and boosting the immune system. Attendant Gebberd, a Boulder Springs spa hospitality agent, took a moment from handing out towels to explain it this way, “Basking in the warm mineral water, you are sure to feel your stress dissolve slowly and surely. Give it a try!”

Tips for Effective Hot Water Therapy:

Temperature: Ensure the water is not too hot Extremely hot water can cause dizziness or skin burns

Duration: Limit sessions to 1520 minutes to avoid dehydration or overheating

Stay hydrated: Keep a glass of water nearby to prevent dehydration caused by perspiration in hot water.

Incorporating hot water therapy into your self-care routine can have numerous physical and mental health benefits, from pain relief and better circulation to stress reduction and improved sleep. It’s an age-old remedy that offers a

GENERAL

natural way to support wellness

Whether you soak in a warm bath at home, visit a spa, or dip into a natural hot spring, hot water therapy can be a powerful addition to your well-being toolkit.

A note of caution: Elders, those with cardiovascular conditions, and those who are pregnant should consult your physician or healer before engaging in hot water therapy to ensure it’s safe for you

The Paint & Sip gathering takes place at 7 p m

The session will bring together attendees of various skill levels, from beginners trying painting for the first time to seasoned artists seeking new inspiration. In an exclusive interview Skerth answered some questions about the upcoming event “Art is for everyone,” says Skerth, host for the Paint & Sip “You don’t need to be a professional or have many years of experience to create something meaningful The Paint & Sip is about just that Enjoy creating together, enjoying each other's company, and overall having a grand evening together.”

Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you became interested in art?

"I don't have much of a background in the arts I grew up on a farm What drew me to art was seeing the various creations over the years as I traveled, different styles, and various color decisions made, where I went An interesting tidbit that made me more interested was learning that some of the inhabitants on Draenor used the mushrooms in Shadowmoon Valley for ink. Unheard of in Outland."

What are your favorite materials to work with, and why?

"Pens and pencils, primarily I sketch a lot nowadays, though I'm hardly good with it For painting, I prefer acrylic paints more."

How do you choose your subjects or themes?

"Truly? I go with a mix of what the seasons may bring, and a 'gut feeling'. It sounds odd, but going with what your gut tells you tends to bring far better results in the end ”

Past attendee, Inkmaster Wei, a busy father of two, expressed his appreciation for the event, “Though my career is focused on writing I’ve always wanted to try painting and never had the courage

e to start on my own This class gave me the push I needed, and it’s so much fun doing it alongside others ”

Ready in 1 hour and 30 minutes

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

8 small granny smith apples

½ cup unsalted butter

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

½ cup white sugar

½ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup water

1 9 inch double crust pie pastry

Preparation

1 Gather the ingredients Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Peel and core apples, then thinly slice. Set aside.

2 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat Add flour and stir to form a paste; cook until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes Add both sugars and water; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes Remove from the heat

3 Press one pastry into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Roll out remaining pastry so it will overhang the pie by about 1/2 inch Cut pastry into eight 1inch strips

4 Place sliced apples into the bottom crust, forming a slight mound Lay four pastry strips vertically and evenly spaced over apples, using longer strips in the center and shorter strips at the edges

5. Make a lattice crust: Fold the first and third strips all the way back so they're almost falling off the pie Lay one of the unused strips perpendicularly over the second and fourth strips, then unfold the first and third strips back into their original position.

6 Fold the second and fourth vertical strips back Lay one of the three unused strips perpendicularly over top Unfold the second and fourth strips back into their original position. Repeat Steps 6 and 7 to weave in the last two strips of pastry Fold and trim excess dough at the edges as necessary, and pinch to secure

7. Slowly and gently pour sugarbutter mixture over lattice crust, making sure it seeps over sliced apples Brush some onto lattice, but make sure it doesn't run off the sides

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking until apples are soft, 35 to 45 minutes
