It dawned on me last night there appears to be a lack of a very vital piece of commodity within the walls of Stormwind. Though I looked for hours I could not find a single example

As with most nights I found myself walking through the city, gauging the overall mood, taking in the life that was emerging as the sun began to rest. Part of this ingestion of the night life is to partake in the beverages being offered by the local “hot spots” where the populous gather and enjoy themselves As any good natured resident does when out with neighbors, I indulged, for research and investigative purposes only mind you

As the night continued and fellowship became camaraderie the needs of the body took hold. As with any vice, at some point the body will identify it as unwelcome and attempt to purge it as such I walked from the Slaughtered Lamb and it dawned on me Most expulsion takes place in alleys or otherwise unprotected venues.

Where are the private and public restrooms in this city?

I began my hunt for the elusive loo I searched high and low through all quarters, nothing I entered every taphouse and establishment that would willingly slide a tankard down the bar as part of the deal to allow me to ask: “ Where can I go to relieve myself?”

Nothing across the entirety of the city. This has raised an alarm. The city has the engineering and facilities to put in place discrete locations where the public can purge and then return to daily life, and even pipe the contents away from the city, so maybe the canals can be cleaned and house beautiful fish once more.

Mercy for the Raging

Kill ten raging elementals. Such orders are common, the overriding approach to both elemental and wildlife management The expression of rage is seen to be incurable, overwhelming all sense in the individual and potentially cascading to destroy entire environments. Rage it seems, can only be cured by a swift death; a deadly plague best contained by violence before it spreads

This policy of murder has applied to elementals, as administered by Alliance, Horde and neutral factions alike If the water elementals get too rowdy, you kill the water elementals. But elementals are people. They have thoughts, they have ambitions, they have clear agency and expression They have emotions and rage is common

Rage is anger breaking the surface,ashing out at the nearby environment All of us have felt rage in a place of deep pain that leads us to seek wanton destruction. There is no end of reasons to feel such pain, and no end of atrocities that our worlds have survived

The elementals have suffered atrocity as well, and specific tortures inflicted upon them alone. It is no surprise that they would know pain and anger, which would lead to such rage.

I think we would all prefer violence and revenge to be properly directed, for the elementals and every other victim to only replay pain upon those who caused it,

but that sort of perfect poetry of revenge rarely exists outside of stories The truth remains that elementals are often victims, and in their rage often create greater harm. Elementals are powerful and able to cause great devastation in their raging

Does that make their destruction ideal? As a general policy no Rage is often temporary, sometimes lasting only weeks, days or hours For most elementals, we may only need to be patient for them to calm again. Learned shamans may even suggest ways to soothe and calm them now that do not involve violence, and such paths should be pursued whenever available

Elementals raging directly in population centers may still need to be subdued or even killed, but that is a rare occurrence. Many elementals are found raging in distant beaches or in caves deep underground They can be safely avoided, but to do so we must examine a more difficult concept

Not everyone who wants to kill you is your enemy Many simply aren’t threats, either due to weakness or distance, many are potential allies, only turning arms against you through the confusion of war. Many only want to kill you for offenses that you have wrongly made If you invade a kobold’s home, and they try to shiv you, their death is your fault

From what I see, the earth elementals and the water elementals are largely uninvolved in this Primalist war. The elementals of both courts have only taken part in battles when directly controlled by Primalist shamans, or directly provoked by the courts of fire and air They are effectively terrified noncombatants and should be let be

If I am wrong in this conclusion, prove it to me. But until then, to destroy the elementals as a whole on the Dragon Isles is to murder the pained and the tormented What sort of heroes would do that?

Hail, Adventurers! Mel here, with another exciting review and recommendation to travel the world of Azeroth. This week, I had the opportunity to head into the lush wilds of Feralas It is a place of dense jungle, high humidity, and a touch of danger to add to the excitement of being there for those who are not faint of heart It is also rich in history and serves as a prime location to learn the history of our Night Elf allies with plenty of ruins to explore

and document. One can choose to rough it and camp or, they could do as I chose to do and book a cabin at the prized Emerald Lagoon Spa and Resort that is nestled in the high wilderness of Feralas on the northern borders

The resort is a place of luxury and relaxation at what most could consider an affordable cost at a mere ten silver a night for a room in the main resort or twenty silver a night for a private cabin Among its amenities are such things as the Mountain Lotus Spa which provides services ranging from massage to kelp wraps and mud

If one would like to tour Feralas but are not a seasoned adventurer, the resort offers a touring service on the backs of caravan mammoths A variety of touring packages are available ranging from a single-day tour to the Ruins of Isildien to a week-long tour that includes ever-increasingly popular glamping that travels to several of the ruins for exploration and to the famed Dreamer’s Rest in hopes of seeing one of the rare green dragons that still make its home there These tours have seasoned guides and porters who double as security. A thing that most would appreciate while traveling through an area that is as dangerous as it is beautiful I booked myself on one of their middle packages to experience the offerings and found that I was not disappointed The tour guides are informative and friendly They maintained tight security for the camps and showed that anyone whether an adventurer or not could feel like one for a day

While on these tours, one has the opportunity to fish up their own salmon to have prepared for their evening meals during camp

Salmon, while expensive in most places, is a common fare at the resort as they are plentiful in the rivers and lakes of Feralas One can even set eyes on the ancient Ironwood trees renowned among the Elves and Trolls for their unique and dense properties I asked our tour guide to tell me about the trees and he gave us a history lesson on them that would have made the Explorer’s League proud Did you know that Ironwood is what the Night Elves use to construct their ballistae bolts that they have long used against their enemies? It was also favored by one of the most infamous warlocks of all time, Guldan Who knew? We didn’t until that tour As the tour ended, I returned to the resort and my private cabin

The private cabins are perfect for a lengthy stay with their adobe builds helping to keep the interior cool despite the heavy humidity of the lagoon and surrounding jungle The interiors are stylized with a blend of night elven and troll motifs that draw the eye to the colorful details and give someone a sense of serenity. Each cabin has a bedroom suite, a kitchenette area, an outdoor patio, and, of course, a bathroom with luxurious waterfall showers created to use the underground mineral water rumored to have healing properties The cabins are the perfect getaway for honeymoons and luxury vacations at affordable prices. So take it from me, from its lush jungles to the majestic ruins and history to the Emerald Lagoon, itself, if you want to journey to Feralas and you aren’t the rustic adventurer, this resort is all you need

A.Dear anonymous, If I knew a little more details I could answer this a little more straight forward. Is your friend dating this person for example Now knowing I will give a few ways, I would go about it Please remember this is just advice and you don’t have to take it

First, Be honest? Tell your friend how you feel if you know this friend is an understanding person Some people are ok with their lovers having other lovers They are few and far between Be honest in telling your friend and see how they react If they are dating the person this may be a little harder to do. If they are dating the person, do your best to behave. Dating is only dating Who knows, maybe something will happen and this woman will come running into your arms one day We can’t help who our hearts fall in love with If she is flirting with you, you should take into consideration, is she doing this to others as well? Again if she is dating.

People forget a few things about dating One thing is dating is getting to know someone, to find out if that person is the one you can spend forever with This is why some will date more than one person at a time.

If she’s not dating, be honest to her as well SHE should get a say in who she dates She may not know you have an interest in her and that’s why she’s only talking or dating your friend If she knew things may be different.

However, either way you go with this, you could just stay out of it and behave, let things play out Personally, I’d be honest with both of them I’d sit them both down and tell

This week I am writing about a herb that is underrated and often overlooked when it comes to our health and wellbeinglemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). This herb is more commonly found in tropical climates, but it can be grown in colder areas as long as it is given some protection from the cold When grown in the tropics, Lemongrass is a perennial herb that will grow all year If in a colder climate, it will only grow as a perennial if you bring it indoors during winter, otherwise it will die back

As a nervine, one of the key benefits of Lemongrass lies in its ability to support our nervous systems in dealing with stress and anxiety It can assist in the lowering of stress hormones produced by our bodies and can also soothe the mind and body by encouraging the production of serotonin As serotonin is the precursor to melatonin, the sleep hormone, Lemongrass may help people suffering from insomnia, especially if the sleeplessness is caused by stress or anxiety.

Lemongrass is also classified as a febrifuge, meaning that it can assist in the reduction of fevers It does so by inducing perspiration, which evaporates on the skin, breaking the fever and allowing our temperature to reduce and stabilize Its antiinflammatory properties may also act to reduce heat.

Lemongrass essential oil is a strong natural antiseptic, its antibacterial and anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory

properties are useful in protecting against fungal infections and assisting with minor skin infections. These properties also make Lemongrass a great ingredient to include in cleansers and toners, as it may help sterilize the skin and act as an astringent, toning up our pores and strengthening the skin

For those who work outdoors or who enjoy spending time exploring Azeroth, Lemongrass is also an excellent insect repellent due to its high content of citronella It does so by masking the scent that attracts mosquitoes and other pests to us

If all that is not enough to convince you of Lemongrass’ usefulness in your pantry, then consider that this herb is not only delicious to eat, but it can also help maintain good metabolic and digestive health It may help deal with fluid retention, while also increasing energy levels and acting as a metabolism booster It helps our digestive systems by enhancing our ability to absorb nutrients while preventing the overgrowth of yeast and bad bacteria in the gut

As always, please patch test the following products before to check for sensitivities Stop use if irritation or redness occurs. See your healer if your symptoms persist or worsen If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healer prior to using

Lemongrass Tea

Served hot during winter or over ice during the warmer months, this tea can be enjoyed all year long Enjoy a cold in the morning to give you an energy boost to get through the day, or drink warm to help ease an upset stomach

Ingredients

2 cups water

¼ chopped fresh lemongrass stalk

8 mint leaves

1 heaped tablespoon of green tea leaves

1 inch of fresh ginger, peeled and grated or finely sliced Juice of 1 lime

Honey or sugar to taste

Method

1. In a saucepan, combine the water, lemongrass, honey or sugar, lime juice, and ginger and bring to the boil while stirring occasionally

2 Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes

3. Remove from the heat, add mint and green tea leaves. Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for another five minutes

4 Strain the tea through cheesecloth or a sieve

How to use: If having hot, pour into a mug immediately after straining. Alternatively, let it cool completely before pouring over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge or sprigs of mint This tea can be stored at room temperature for a day or in an ice box for 3 days

Method

1 Combine all ingredients in a large bottle and shake well

2. Store in an ice box or cold area.

How to use: pour a small amount onto a cotton ball or cloth and wipe gently over the face and neck, avoiding the eyes You can choose to omit the preservative, but if you do, halve the amount of ingredients as it will not last beyond a few days.

Mosquito Repellent Spray

Rosewater and Lemongrass Facial Toner

This toner is simple and easy to make, and can help you keep your skin looking healthy and radiant Lemongrass may help with regulating oil production, which is particularly helpful for those with oily or acne prone skin, and rosewater may aid in reducing redness

Ingredients

½ rosewater (homemade or store bought)

¼ cup of witch hazel (alcohol free if possible)

¼ cup distilled water

1 teaspoon glycerine

4 drops of lemongrass essential oil

Preservative of your choice (amount will vary depending on which one you choose, check label for further instruction)

This spray is perfect for spring and summer outings as it effectively repels mosquitoes and other biting insects, allowing you to enjoy the warmer weather without having to worry about annoying bites and irritation It is not for young children, however, so it should only be used on teens or adults

Ingredients

60 mls witch hazel

60 mls distilled water

16 drops lemongrass essential oil

10 drops lemon eucalyptus essential oil

10 drops catnip essential oil

Large dark-coloured, glass spray bottle

Method

1 Combine all the ingredients in the glass bottle and shake well to ensure ingredients are mixed

How to use: spray across exposed skin, reapplying every 1-2 hours as needed.

FOOD

Add the bacon to the pan and fry for 5 mins until golden. Tip in the leeks and fry for another 5 mins.

2. Sprinkle the flour over the leeks and bacon, and stir until combined Add the stock and stir well Slice the chicken and return it to the pan – don’t worry if it’s not fully cooked through at this point, it will finish cooking in the oven.

3. Stir in the crème fraîche, peas, 1 tbsp mustard and the tarragon, and bubble for a few minutes until thick and saucy Add a splash more stock or water if it seems too thick Remove the pie filling from the heat Whisk the remaining ½ tbsp mustard with the egg in a bowl.

Spring Chicken Pot Pie

With spring right around the corner I thought I would pull out one of my favorite recipes of a chicken pot pie Which is great for those cold rainy nights

Ready in 80 minutes

Serves 6 People

Ingredients

4-6 skinless, boneless chicken thighs

1 tbsp olive oil

100g smoked bacon

2 leeks, sliced

3 tbsp plain flour

300ml chicken stock

200g creme fraiche

100g fresh peas

1 ½ tbsp Dijon mustard

Small bunch of tarragon, chopped

1 egg, beaten

320g puff pastry

Preparation

1. Season the chicken thighs with some salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a heavy-based saucepan and fry the chicken for 3-4 mins on each side until lightly golden, then transfer to a plate

4. Heat the oven to 350 Spoon the filling into a pie dish with a lip and use some of the egg mix to brush the sides of the dish Unroll the pastry over the top of the pie and crimp the edges against the sides of the dish, then cut away any excess with a knife.

5. Brush the remaining egg glaze over the pie and make a small steam hole in the middle Bake for 40 mins until golden and puffed Serve with buttered new potatoes and steamed greens or carrots, if you like

TEA TALES WITH JULES

Got a minute to spare and a table to throw your feet up on? It is time for a lovely cup of tea and a dish of sweet honey cake Can’t really give a recipe for the latter, but boy do I have a nice tea blend for a lovely sip. It was the sort of blend my ma’ learned about when she was traveling to Grizzly Hills

Now why was she traveling there, you ask? That I never learned, however she did tell me about a curious pair that was traveling through the mountains; a burly father and his young son who could not have been more than a knee high to a grasshopper. They had a donkey and all, to help with their traveling packs Well, while my ma’ was walking behind them, she also saw a couple coming their way “Now why walk when you have a donkey to ride?” was what the husband called out to the father and son. And of course the son would like that, so the father placed his son on the donkey Soon they met another couple “How shameful of you!” the wife called out, sounding madder than a wet hen “Let your poor father ride so he won’t be tired You’re young and healthy.” So the boy got down and his father went up. Again they marched on, right in front of my ma’. As they went on, they met some travelers “How mean spirited of them! They are up to killing that poor donkey,” cried one of the travelers So hearing this, the father and son climbed down The father was not sure what to do, so the son suggested carrying the poor donkey instead

– and so they did. Up went the donkey onto their shoulders, which of course made the travelers break into laughter The laughter then frightened the donkey, so he broke free and galloped off into the sunset Now what’s the point of this story, you ask? Well the point is, you can’t please everyone but this nice cuppa sure can.

All you need to do is mix together your nicest blend of black and green tea leaves, steep it with some deep orangeamber honey harvested from the famous land of Grizzly Hills It makes for a nice sweet honey tea and what’s even better, you can dip your deliciously fresh baked cake into the very same honey tea It will make you as happy

Today starts a new journey for me and allows me to pursue one of my favorite passions Food My name is Sini Thundershade, and I cannot wait to go over all my food adventures with you all In this time of some-what peace, I’ve decided to revisit some of my favorite food places Whether that be a dingy bar hidden away in Kul Tiras, or an extremely expensive restaurant in Dalaran.

be reviewing for you will be from a fairly familiar spot within Stormwind. Om Nom Noodles Granted they do make their way to most of the big events, but I am always lucky enough to catch them whenever I am in the city

Bringing the wonderful flavors of Pandaria, Om Nom quickly became one of my favorite places to eat and I make it a point to at least order a Boba Tea from them My go to flavor being peach This wonderfully cold drink has always hit the spot on those particularly hot days in the city The flavors of the fruit mixing beautifully with the tea and the tapioca pearls, the chewy springyness of the tapioca just adds an extra layer of texture that really brings the drink together

While their menu is vast and has no bad items to choose from, my favorite will always be their Signature Ramen I still remember the first time I tried it. I opted for the Tiger Steak that time, and being no stranger to spicy foods, I chose the “lethal” spice level Surely it wouldn’t have been that bad? Oh how wrong I was

I’ve learned my lesson and have decided to stick to their Mild spice level, but do venture into Spicy when I’m feeling bold. When actually able to taste the food and not have your tongue feel as if Fel fire is dancing across it, you are immediately hit with a wonderful warmth from the broth, flavors that dart across your taste buds in a wonderful dance Moving in harmony with the taste of the meats, the green onions and that perfectly boiled egg.

People, just writing this has me

already thinking about my next order from there. There is truly no wrong thing to order from them From the potstickers, to their Almond Cookies, even the Plum Wine, there is something for everyone at Om Nom Noodles This first review was just a brief one, and I already have my eyes on places around the Northern Kingdoms I’d like to tackle first.

Food Bank Shocked to Find Out That They Run on Donations

At the End of the holiday week of the Noble Garden, most of Stormwind's food banks will help out the less fortunate by letting their food pantries open to the public.

But imagine the shock of one food bank owner and runners for the past week Janet and Stephanie Myerscough

Myerscough sisters, A local family and business owners in the old town of Stormwind, Have just started to run a food bank in Stormwind as one of the owners said "I never envisioned

myself needing to go to a food pantry and asking for help," says Stephanie So she and her sister opened one so that they would never go hungry But found it hard to believe that the food was going to be given to others and some food was going to donation by the and for the citizens of Stormwind as one person waiting line put it “I was suddenly plunged into a financial nightmare, not knowing how I was going to pay my bills, feed myself and my daughter, buy things we needed "

Janet Myerscough has been seen going to other food banks taking food from their pantry and moving the food into hers. She has also been seen denying food donations that she finds, as she puts, “ not clean and not up to her standards” the food in question s the free bread from the stockades banking program, a program where prisoners will bake bread to reduce their

sentence When pressed on this issue Janet responded with “We need to get rid of food banks We need change – a real living wage, benefits that reflect the cost of living, more social housing It’s not my fault that some people are poor, Stop being poor it’s easy”. Janent then added that they want no donations, just a working food bank

The sisters are set too have their food bank filled in the future to show off to the rest of “ peasants” of Stormwind once their food bank is filled. So far their food bank is at 5% filled.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Oliver Petching, a brave and selfless Stormwindian Human who lost his life in a heroic act of valor Oliver was only 35 years old when he was tragically killed on April 14th, 634 (2023) while protecting Sammas and his students from a Scarlet ambush He fought valiantly against Kurtesh Varrick, the Scarlet Lord, but unfortunately suffered fatal injuries, with his skull being crushed laterally from both sides

Oliver's courage and dedication to protecting others will never be forgotten He gave his life to defend innocent lives and uphold justice, and his bravery serves as an inspiration to us all. Despite having no surviving family, Oliver will be greatly missed by his friends, colleagues, and all those who knew him Rest in peace, Oliver Your sacrifice will always be remembered
