Design Concept All forms of being existed before life evolved. All that exists has the property to resist destruction, so it "struggles" to keep its existence.

Therefore it takes another form of existence when it is destroyed, thus keeping its existence. But pre-life existence could not hold on.

Inorganic matter evolved into Life which is a more efficient form insofar as it resists destruction with a new tool, the tool of multiplication. An electron, an atom, a molecule, an element, a star or a galaxy does not multiply; it shifts into another form without leaving its continuation behind. But an amoeba can leave itself behind through its genetic property.

MEDIUM DENSITY PRECINCT DEVELOPMENT Location Site Area

Design Concept Revitalization of recently abandoned site of ‘Ontario Place’ combining it with ‘Canadian National Exhibition’. The ‘The Exhibition Place’ was an endeavour to create a mixed use precinct. The exhibition was designed to take place all over the precinct, in the streets, at promenades, exhibition centres etc. The new waterfront was proposed as new venue for yearly and seasonal exhibitions to keep the waterfront active and lively year round.

Waterfront park was proposed to host festivals, carnivals, exhibitions. A performing arts academy was proposed to keep the precinct vibrant in reflecting culture and arts in addition to stage exhibitions and carnivals.

The existing pods and cinesphere structure were proposed to be kept as part of the site’s history and architectural heritage.

Residential areas were integrated with residential and commercial activity in order to utilize open spaces and streets to the maximum.

NEGOTIATING VIEWS, SYMBOLISM AND TALL BUILDING DENSITY Location Location

Course The idea was analyze how urban models can be created and used in design and performative evaluation.

The campus has been the subject of several studies in CLR and acts as a test bed of data collection and testing. A Sketchup three dimensioned model and Google earth software were used to examine urban design issues.
