Yes this is our story, not knowing our history, is all kinda ‘tory from fragments of memory and snatches of fables, fading fast; a patchwork of pieces of stories and twisted yarns of idiosyncratic perspectives and homespun narratives from VERY SPECIFIC POVS. In essence it is the story of the carnival and the canboulay. The story of the stickman, THE chantwell, THE calypsonian, THE masman, THE steelband man, putting up a resistance through using their intelligence and imaginations to invent and create new forms to fill the void - to fill the space, to stake a claim, to claim a space, in this new place, in short ‘to make their name’.

People that dared to dream themselves into being, time after time and reinvent themselves, again and again, generation after generation.
