MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE 2020-22 | Sem 3 | A3 Sheet Panels | Revitalizing the Heritage and Tourism of Pushkar, Rajasthan (Theme and tools for the semester: Heritage & Culture, Tourism, City-level study) |
The Studio Project involved studying and analyzing the socio-culture, heritage, and tourism of Pushkar, near Ajmer city, Rajasthan in the Indian subcontinent. The city is famous for its Camel Trade Fair, tribal dances, and serene Ghats of the renowned Brahma Temple. One of the significant temple cities, Pushkar makes its mark in the West of India. A place of abode, vacation, and escapade for many of the bohemian hippies from Europe, we had a great time studying and working on the city-level urban project. Our analyses, policy framework, and proposals are formulated to enhance tourism, widespread the culture and revitalize the heritage of Pushkar in a cost-effective and long-term methodology.
