Jonathan Page Play Centre, Upcoming Council Meetings

We had a great time during the summer at the Play Centre. We were visited by Ellie from the Queens Park Arts Centre who did some fantastic artwork with the children. Ellie is now working on the children’s individual works of art to create one big piece of art. We can’t wait to see it!

We also had a great time during Carnival Week at our Summer Playscheme. The children had fun drumming and preparing for an extra special parade around our go kart track.

Recently we received £500 from Waitrose’s Give A Little Love campaign. During the pandemic we all spent more time than normal inside, so we thought it would be a great idea to use the money to get some equipment for the children to enjoy and encourage the children to be more active.

With this money, we’ve purchased lots of items to promote movement such as hurdles, hoop-weighing scales, swing ball, new balls, balancing equipment, skipping ropes on poles for children with one arm or hand and a frisbee target. Thank you to the Waitrose Give A Little Love campaign. We are very grateful for their support.

We can’t believe Christmas is soon approaching. We’ve got some great fun planned during our Christmas Playscheme (21-23 December and 3 January). We will have Christmas crafts galore as well as plenty of singing and dancing in time for our Christmas disco.
