What an incredible first year! The Student Committee for Change have enjoyed championing a number of successful projects and activities, supporting and promoting areas around celebrating diversity, health and relationships.

The team have initiated a number of engaging projects across the School through Awareness Days, Diversity Focus Weeks, Mental Health awareness and support plus connecting with departments to focus on these important topics.

Here are some of this year’s highlights!

The Student Committee for Change were delighted to invited to the Bucks Youth Summit at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

Students enjoyed discussing a range of big issues that face young people today from Mental Health Awareness to creating safe spaces & places for young people in Bucks.

The Youth Voice Bucks, Youth Summit invited young people from local schools have to talk about:

• mental health

• sexual harassment

• LGBT+

• crime

• access for young people

• spaces and places

• SEND rights, awareness, and voice

We look forward to welcoming new members to the committee in September and were blown away by the the overwhelming response to applications to join the Student Committee for Change team.

We’re excited and looking forward drawing up new areas of focus and planning ahead to bring about change to our community for the better.
